Default Weld Prostars price?

If you could pick up a brand new set(2) of 15x8 with 5.5 back space for $440 would you buy them. Is this a good price. Wanted the draglights but he said they didn't have them in this size. Yes, I have base calipers. Also, would I go with a 26x10.5x15 MT?

I didnt buy mine new so Im not sure on the price but why not just go to Jegs and Summitracing and see what their prices are. As far as the tire size goes, that will work yes.

i personally wouldnt go with welds. you have to buy shank lugs at about $40 plus you really need longer studs to have legal thread length with them.

Pick up a set of centerline tel stars and you will be able to use your acorn lugs and they are cheaper

I hate the lugs on my Welds. I would love some new racing wheels but nobody makes a 16" that I know of, Jackie any opinions?

Wow! Seems like my wholesale buddy is getting ripped! Although, he said they only carry welds for the swamper trucks so he wasn't sure what kind of deal he could get. But damn, he's way over jegs price. The centerlines do look tight so if I can't get this resolved I'll definitely give them a look.

Their has got to be something wrong here. He got me my racingharts for $2600 with nitto 555's zr so I don't think he's trying pull one over on me...we go back pretty far. I hope he's got a good explanation.

Hey Jackie, if I go with the centerline's is this the right bolt pattern and back space?http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku . Also, Im looking at either MT ET Streets or H&M cheater slicks but what has me confused is the H&M say you need a tube for these. So I'd have to purchase an inner tube also?

im not totally sure on the backspacing, but i am thinking you would want between 5-6inches. i would call them and tell them you want the same wheel a 99-04 mustang would use. as far as tires, since its only going to be for drag racing, get a nice floor jack and 26x8.5x15 et drags and swap them at the strip

https://my350z.com/forum/drag/145222-does-15x10-welds-w-4-5-bs-fit-the-z.html
thread about backspacing. You want a 5.5" backspacing for an 8" wheel and 6.5" backspacing for a 10" wheel on the Z.

Those Centerlines appear to be much more expensive than the Welds. You can et 15x8" Weld Prostars from summit for $159. The centerlines are $216. $440 for a pair of weld prostars is a ripoff, $318 + shipping at summit.

As far as tires go that is a personal preference, but that size you listed will work. Personally I'm partial to M&H slicks, I'm trying 26x10.5-15 MT ET Streets for the first time tonight though. Hopefully they work well, knock on wood.

I'm very interested in movoing away from welds as well because of the damn lug nuts. I keep on shaving wheel studs.

But the Centerlines only come with a max of 5 back spacing....is that enough?

fyi:
http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=36661

$137 a piece for the centerline...

I checked on the centerline site and you can get a 5.5 back spacing as a custom option but then it's back up to over 200 a piece.
I'll call Jegs on Monday and see if they can do the 5.5 for the same price

nice find, I was just looking at the price on centerline's website which i should have realized would be much more expensive.

If the 8" wheels with 5.5" backspacing have more than half an inch of room between the wheel/tire and the fender, then a 5" BS should work, though if it is really close you might want to consider rolling the fenders.
