Wait your saying that a (3"?) single is causing this so called lag?

man the 3 inch tanabe single isnt even 3 inch all the way through, there are two points on it where it goes smaller, its way way too small for greddy TT at 13.5 psi for sure,

seriously when i shift gears in the quarter mile, i bet i could count to two before i am in full boost each shift. it sucks, then i tried to speed shift it to keep boost up and the clutch just slipped.

i messed with the profec settings and i definently had them where it would cause more lag than normal, i had the start boost setting really really low. i have fixed that now and turned the gain down. it seems to be a bit better between shifts but its still not the way its supposed to be..... lots of lag...

its like this.... rr.rrr.rr...rrr..rrr..rrr..RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAA shift, rr.rr.rr..rr..r..rr..r.rr RAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, i mean its sick in boost but takes forever to get there. didnt really noticed the lag till i was runnin through the gears...

EDIT... plus seriously i was launching at 2000 and taking it easy, i didnt even try to launch hard, i pulled a 2.0 on the best run. nothing special, just a little burnout, i was pretty much seeing what it would do. but i figured it would trap higher..

Default one more thing

i have been short shifting the gears a bit too, i know that would cause it to lag more in between shifts, i found out that there are stock springs in the ported heads with new valves. so i have the rev limit still at 7400 where i set it when i first set the car up. so when i read your post (alberto) now you have me worried about revving it up....

You don't need to make excuses for us man. Just get the car running the way you want it. Run an E.T. and trap that you're happy with and THEN post about it.

We all know that once you get the bugs worked out it will be much quicker. Kinda sounds like the profec-b is more trouble then its worth. I know its cool to be able to control boost in a gear, but i thought the extended vacuum line, into the cockpit can cause excessive lag. I like the easier manual boost controllers for that reason.

So, are you going again on Wednesday? I'm working in Orlando that day, so if you go, I'll stop by for a while on my way home.

woooo hooooo i got this all figured out, i ran a little more timing tonight, i figured out that it wasnt a lag problem last week, its ALL my clutch, it just slips during gear shifts and its getting the power down and the car wont build boost with less load.

i was running 14 psi again tonight, i had a few runs that were 12.2s at 120. now the great thing about this is that in first second and third gear the car is sideways as hell... 265 40 18 BFGs that i drive on the street everyday...

then in fourth and fifth gear it wont even build more than 8 psi cause the clutch is slipping sooooo bad.....

i know as soon i throw in the clutch i will smoke my 120 traps, i am very very happy, the car actually slowed down in fourth and fifth gear cause of less boost, weird, just kinda hovered there like it was lagging all the way through both gears.....

clutch will be here soon!!!

Damn considering that beat a$$ clutch (what kind is it btw?) 120mph trap sounds good. Keep it up and you'll be on your way to your goal....

it is an rps clutch, very streetable, i never would have bought it.

anything over 13.5 psi it just slips and its getting worse now....

everything makes sense now to me about why last week it wasnt running like i thought it would.

i can turn up the boost 10 % on the profec b and it just stays the same boost level... that RPS clutch should just say.... "Good till 13.5 psi!!!"

im cool right now. i bought the setup cheap....and am figuring out why. i may have to spring for a 300 bracket setup if its too much of a ***** to fab an alt bracket up tomorrow. other than that all i need to do is go to ace for some bolts, measure for the belts once its mounted up and throw my maf and injectors on that came today. i should know the extent tomorrow or tonight.
