i think with cooler weather you should be close to a 14.0 to 14.1 humidity and temp kills you alot

For your first time, the 14.413 @ 98.48 with a 60' of 2.332 for your best isn't unacceptable. You have much room for improvement. Keep practicing and you'll eventually get a much lower time even with worse weather conditions. Your 60' is most likely the main problem. Post up your time slip for a full evaluation.

Time slips are always helpful.

Clearly your 60-foot time is hurting your ET. Sometimes with 80 percent plus humidity and poor staging pad preparation, the best that you can do is 2.3 seconds. A couple of suggestions:

a. Change lanes.
b. Look at the tires marks on the staging pad. Stage to the left or right of those marks.
c. Drop tire pressure to 30 psi

Be safe and have fun.

Debate is good.

I am suggesting changing something: either the lane or the groove. If I follow a car with 10.5 racing slicks, my tires are in-the-groove. If I am having a difficult time with 60-foot time, then I experiment to the right or left.

the thing he needs to change is the way he launches the car. even with a poorly prepped track, the worst 60's should be in the 2.0s, it helps to learn from someone of course, i was stuck in the 2.3s for a year.

lining up out of the groove is where fluids and dirt tend to build up down the track
