By your rules anything with out a/c is not a street car, and that is bs.
Like I said, your opinion may differ. Any one single item might not take a car from a street car to a race car, but you combine many of these items into a package that becomes uncomfortable for "normal" people, like jeremy's car and lots of other cars out there - and you have yourself a race car in my opinion. Whether or not you agree is not the issue and doesn't really matter since everyone has their own opinion.

And that's the key trap that people fall into. A couple of my local Cobra friends have already traveled down that road:

- Bias Ply ET Streets/Skinnies on the street
- 100 octane mix, then pure 100, then leaded race gas
- Tubular K-Member
- Rear Seat Delete
- Removing Sound Deadener
- Roll Bar
- Lightweight Racing Buckets
- Stereo Removal
- Spherical Bushings
- Removing other power conveniences
- Non-overdrive Transmissions
- Super short gearing practical only for the 1/4 mile
- A/C removal
- Etc.
- Etc.

Any one item might not alter the cars' street manners, but once you start combining a bunch of them you wind up waking up one morning with a race car.

I tried to make it clear I was talking in general terms and not about any car in particular. I suppose since we hijacked the **** out of your thread, you might have thought I was speaking about you in my previous post (even though I mentioned my local Cobra pals). I'm un-hijacking myself out of this thread, sorry for the intrusion.

it does matter

there are pretty much 3 catregories

a car that is used as a daily or can be
weekend warrior
race car

They are pretty obvious with a very small grey area. race cars can have full interior with a/c and system and run 8s. Your definitions an attempts to peg down what a race car is are a mute point.

No, it really doesn't matter. I have my definition and you have yours, it shouldn't matter to you what my opinion of the definition is, and it doesn't matter to me what your definition is. It's obvious I won't sway you over to my definition so like I said, it doesn't (or shouldn't) matter that we have differing opinions. I was just stating what my opinion was. If you don't agree, then that's cool with me

i dont know but the people on this forum sure do know how to be negative. who cares, like Jeremy said, its all in good, FAST FUN. stop being so competitive..."my car is still a street car," "no its just streetable", "wait thats not a steet car at all." just appreciate he has a fast beautifull z with LOTS of hard work put into it and pat the guy on the back and leave it at that.

Jeremy, traveling for 2007 season??? When can I buy Performance Factory shares?? You guys are going to have a great shop car...this reminds me a little of Titan, it is great..I cant wait for the shop to open!

in a weird way, i would like to follow the steps of Titan but with the Z, they are pretty much 90 % wholesale now selling to shops like mine, but they did a lot on the way with the supras.

i just want to make some decent money doing something i enjoy instead of working my a$$ of like i am now , making good money, but hating my job.

we will see what happens, i think if you help people as much as possible, stay positive and do good work, good things should happen...

hopefully i will have some better times later,
