Thank you. The car honestly has way more in it. I wish I would have put a bit more nitrous in it and lowered the activation rpm. Nitrous was turning on at 4,750 and I wish I would have went down to 4,000 and used a 150 shot. 9.2 or 9.3 is definitely doable especially with a lighter driver.

I only made two passes NA and as you can see in the video I kicked the tires a good amount. First pass was 10.810. Lowered the tire pressure and the second pass was 10.660 with a 1.78 60ft from still kicking the tires. Said the hell with it and lowered the pressure more and ran nitrous from then on. Car could run solid 10.4XX's on motor quite easily.

Thank you! I am currently debating if I want to pursue 2nd place. Some more weight reduction and a bit more nitrous and I think I could pass Sound Performance and Hal .

I don't think you make the top 25 for bolt on Z. Quamen is in the motor swap class.

Took my Z to the local 1/8th track today. My first time ever drag racing with a manual transmission car. Best time was 8.9. What can I do to improve my launch? This base model's open differential is killing me it feels like! If I launch at anything over 1.2k it just roasts the tires. I had to baby it off the line every single time with constant 2.2 60' which was a big factor on my times. Any advice from the drag ******? I'd like to keep going back and practice. My shifts are pretty good but my launch is definitely the part that needs most improvement.

How was track prep? I managed a 2.1 60' (leaving between 3200-3500rpm with a little clutch spliting) but it had amazing track prep this was with a open diff, on a 275 40 18 all season tire at 30psi.

Oh I got a feeling this and your post are in the wrong section?!

Well I didn't really want to make another thread and didn't see where else to post this. and to be honest I wouldn't know if the track prep was great or terrible. I just know that if I even tried to launch a little bit it was either wheel hop or roast the tires off the line. I was on the stock 18" wheels with 38psi. Again, I'm a drag noob, but am definitely looking to improve.
