I got really good at the toe trick, and as long as I slipped the clutch for 20 feet it would stick but have enough grip to pull those 60' times, and I could get my foot under it by then and pull it all the way, it wouldn't slip much after that and usually the shift to second would hold. I had a couple throwaway runs though still because of the clutch.
Wow, nice footwork lol. 4k rpm launch>? awesome! Do you have an LSD? I am open diff? What are your mods?

Stock enthusiast. The viscous honestly does nothing on a good launch though.

Edit - to clarify, the Viscous LSD doesn't lock up unless you have some spin. Some of my previous top times had mild spin and the LSD helped, but the last 2 were both perfectly hooked launches (got the clutch technique down to an art) and so it wouldn't have mattered if my diff was open or viscous.

I did even better tonight....my clutch however suicide bombed me on my last run and I had to leave on a sour note. It wouldn't even hold in 6th gear, I had to coast half the track going 30 pumping the clutch to get it to hold and ran it out with like a 19.5 .

Overall good, 13.36 with a 1.948 60'
DA of 1380' (78 degrees, 30.06 baro, and 68 dewpoint).

2007 touring, auto completely stock.
not bad did you brake torque off the line? Or just pedal to the metal when the light went green? Were you in SS mode? You defiantly have to go again! maybe during the evening when its not so hot! was it humid out that day you got the 13.8?

It was brutal humidity out, was almost exactly 7 pm, i rushed straight from work in my scrubs lol...it was probably in the 80's with super high humidity, and no i didnt break torque, was my first time and i didnt think to. My last car, when i brake torqued and let off the gas, it would bog down instead of rocket off lol with tcs off too.... but next time i go it will definetly be cooler out and ill brake torque. Going to check out next time i can run right now actually.

My tires are looking to same way, but I can at least blame it on many many runs down the drag strip. Having one of the best tracks in the country within 30 minutes of your front door makes it hard to say no.

ok since it was brought up on the mrc vs. alberto thread here's one for the ages...

Built/Designed by VTR for our old shop Performance Motorsports.

This is a daily driven street car, that had a cage (for the sheer purpose of being to compete in the street tire class) ... has A/C ran everday and has a full interior!

8.33 @ 176 mph... according to the specs of the other cars on the list I believe this qualifies...

I saw this video quite a long time ago and no question its fast, but really, I think having a parachute on the car is a little much for a street car.If I had a parachute on my car I doubt I'd be driving it on the street.

I believe that is a requirement for those kinds of speeds.
