I got really good at the toe trick, and as long as I slipped the clutch for 20 feet it would stick but have enough grip to pull those 60' times, and I could get my foot under it by then and pull it all the way, it wouldn't slip much after that and usually the shift to second would hold. I had a couple throwaway runs though still because of the clutch.

Edit - to clarify, the Viscous LSD doesn't lock up unless you have some spin. Some of my previous top times had mild spin and the LSD helped, but the last 2 were both perfectly hooked launches (got the clutch technique down to an art) and so it wouldn't have mattered if my diff was open or viscous.

It was brutal humidity out, was almost exactly 7 pm, i rushed straight from work in my scrubs lol...it was probably in the 80's with super high humidity, and no i didnt break torque, was my first time and i didnt think to. My last car, when i brake torqued and let off the gas, it would bog down instead of rocket off lol with tcs off too.... but next time i go it will definetly be cooler out and ill brake torque. Going to check out next time i can run right now actually.

ok since it was brought up on the mrc vs. alberto thread here's one for the ages...
Built/Designed by VTR for our old shop Performance Motorsports.
This is a daily driven street car, that had a cage (for the sheer purpose of being to compete in the street tire class) ... has A/C ran everday and has a full interior!
8.33 @ 176 mph... according to the specs of the other cars on the list I believe this qualifies...

I saw this video quite a long time ago and no question its fast, but really, I think having a parachute on the car is a little much for a street car.If I had a parachute on my car I doubt I'd be driving it on the street.
