First Time at the Drag Strip

First Time at the Drag Strip
Today was my first time at the drag strip. My numbers were a little disappointing but my Z is pretty much stock except for my popcharger. I've added an attachment that has my numbers on it. Now I can't wait for Christmas. My wife got me the Motordyne ISO Thermal Plenum Spacer and a set of Strup test pipes. The spacer is under the tree now but I can't open it yet. I'll definately have to go back to the track after I get them on. Will these mods help my times at all?

Looks pretty normal for a stocker...now atleast you have a base run. Have you done a baseline dyno?
The typical response to your question should be - if you increase your HP to weight ratio - you will be faster...not always true though. Driving technique plays a lot into it as well.

I'll work on the launch. Haven't done a dyno yet but probably should just need to find the place around here that does it. Definately want one done before I put on my spacer and test pipes.

Congratulations. The first time is to familiarize yourself with the car and racing safety. No need to trade a 13.80 time slip for a broken axle.
TCS is off. Automatic drivers pull the brake light fuse. You can load the drive train. Foot on the brake. Foot on the accelerator. Pick up the RPM to about 2,500. Release brake and hit the gas at the same time.
