Default Some good, some bad

I finally got to go to the track again. I changed some things since last time. I took out my popcharger in favor of an 06 airbox. I also replaced my 18" 5-zigen GN+'s with a set of heavy a** 19" Axis Crux wheels. I only got these because of the tires, BFG KDW-2s. I got a pretty good deal, and blah blah blah. Long story short, I got my new PB's with 60's. I got a 2.122, and a 2.123 back to back, BUT I still only ran a 13.9 and 14.00 because I had no speed. I was barely trapping at 100mph, and before I was trapping at 102+. Oh well, time for a nice set of track wheels.

Some guy had a cool handheld DA calculator, it said the DA was 2500ish. The thing was really cool looking. Havent checked how accurate it actually was yet.

Your 60-foot time looks OK. 19-inch wheels must weigh 25 pounds each. Not exactly a drag racing asset.

Not at all. I just got a really good deal on them, and the tires on my 5-zigens were shot, so they needed to be replaced. I picked up this set of Axis wheels for the price, if not cheaper, then tires for the 5 zigens. I really couldnt say no. Im working on something more appropriate for the track.

My last time out, I ran 13.9 @ 102.34, and that was with a 2.3 60'. My car is good for 13.6, I think, and I will achieve this goal. Im going back in 2 weeks, if not sooner hopefully.

I also was bracket racing today as well. Not much luck today though, lost in the first race. I dialed in at 13.9, hoping to improve on my 60' that much more, being my 3rd of the day. It was the same, and I ran a 14.004. The other guy was off his dial in by only .035 or something. So needless to say, I lost.

Nice times!

You should pick up some OEM 17's and stick DR's on it....should make a nice difference.

I've been meaning to hit the track as well, but my stupid car is broken

Ya, Im not really sure if it was that good of an idea. I wanted to try it out, seeing as how the velocity stack on the 06 box is bigger. I didnt feel like I lost that much, but Im not that sure anymore. I took the filter out on the second run, and it didnt change my MPH at all. I figured with my air duct, the stock box would fit suit it better. I may have been wrong.
