Ran my 07 @ PIR

Congrats on your times.

+1 IF YOU ARE SPEAKING OF COMMERCE DRAGSTRIP

Given I don't have a problem from any other rpm or when driving around normally I'm leaning on the fact my hand is too fast for my foot (combined with the car transfering weight to the front helping me ease the shifter out of first before I've even clutched in all the way). I thought about mentioning it to the dealership, but how do I go about approaching explaining redline shifts to them? lol
I'm still skeptical to complain of grinds and describe them as such, and I *would* have thought the same thing as you (I did actually), but I duplicated my issue without a fast clutch at all (clutch in before I touched the shifter, shifted and ground with my foot buried). This was on the track though, it hasn't ground since, and I don't know how heat would affect the synchro in a situation like this.

See that's the thing... I've never ever had 2nd grind when I paid attention to my shift. When I get in a hurry and a bit sloppy (touch my shifter too soon) I've "scratched" it into 2nd.
Wow, small world! I was there last Saturday night. I help out a friend that races with OMRRA. We had to change his head gasket in the pits that day. LOL
Anyway, I saw you run...I remember the 13.8
My car was parked next to the return road right by the timing shack. Sucked because I stayed on the inside of the track too late and they closed the bridge. Had to walk my *** all the way around the front straight back to my car.....

I decided there's no point in me trying to nail high 12's/low 13's in a stock 07... the better drivers will do it for

Well, good luck at Woodburn, let me know if you're going out to PIR again (even though you don't sound too impressed LOL) if OMRRA is running I'll for sure be there.
It might be worth noting that PIR is being repaved this fall. While it is difficult for a road course and a 1/4 mile to coexist, I believe some attention is going to be paid to the drag strip. The increasing popularity of the Saturday night drags is part of the reason the track is being repaved instead of sold. So the drag strip should get some love.
