Here, it tends to be a zoo too.. Just let the guy in the staging lanes know you want to race a certain person and they facilitate no probs..

 

Friday nights at Englishtown are not to busy. You get at least 4 -5 runs in by 9pm.Granted there are no spills. Gates open at 5pm racing at 6pm. You will need a fire/race jacket and helmet Duh!

 

And long pants..

 

and no sandals!

 

Etown Test and Tune nights are fine.. as long as there are no big events at Etown you can run side by side for 10 runs..

How can you tell him not to run a DR-when your running a street legal race tire. His DR is a street legal race tire, but its not set up for road racing/handling its set up for the holeshot. Dont be foolish and ask him to run a tire not set-up for drag racing just because you choose to do so. If you were running an r-compound tire against me, Id roll up to the track on my ET Streets, they are DOT approved after all

 

That's what I have on the car - I just order a new set of wheels and DR too and they should be in next week.

There's a huge performance advantage between R-compound tires vs a Drag Radials and/or Slicks at the strip.

 

so why does he have to run what you have on the car? you can run what he has on the car. excuses are like.... well you know, everybody has one.

Philthy I dont know how you set up races up in NJ You settle on a class of tire or run what you brung. You say it must be a street legal DOT approved tire, Id yank you by 4 cars on ET streets by the 60ft (which is what Julian should do), you dont get to say "I run an R compound tire (stickier than a reg street tire) but you CANT run a DR" Otherwise wait until you have DR's and go DR vs DR. If you feel like Ive offended you have your lawyer contact me

Just run him with the Race Tires. Drop the pressure to 20psi and do it. They actually grip very well in first gear when warm...better than one would expect.

 

Everyone has an idea of what Julian's car can do, performance wise.

What about Philthy's G? Has he ever tracked his car?

Julian's is running 580-590 whp and trapped 127 mph?

I only have one choice - that's to run what I have on my car now. I was asked to select the tire choice and I provided my selection.

DR's are on the way next week and I'll run them when I get them.

No backing out on my end - I have absolutely nothing to lose...
