As for the rest of you; real lawyer, real degree, real (very successful) office in Monmouth County, NJ. Former Acting Municipal Prosecutor; past, present and future gear head. The only difference between MRC and I - I did the performance shop thing before I went to law school and he is doing it after he chose a profession. Just because I have the degree does not mean I always have to "lawyer it up" when I speak/type. If I did, MRC would still be looking up the words I should have used in post #19. Since 1986, I have made hundreds of passes at E-town with any of my prior and/or present cars: a heavily modded 72 Super Beetle, a heavily modded 1989 Supra Turbo, a lightly Modded 87 GTI 16V, a lightly modded 1994 Corvette, a heavily modded 1993 Mustang Cobra (my brother's car), a stock 2000 GS 400 and my present car, a 2007 Corvette Z51. I have had my fair share of "grudge matches" throughout the years whether it be drag racing, on the rugby pitch, or at car stereo competitions. Settle the discrepancy - I always have by taking on the challenge and then buying the guy a beer thereafter. I find the non-threatening aspects of the communications to be as hysterical as the rest of you.
Funny thing though - this looks like a shop owner picking on a consumer. It also looks like a cop abusing his power to intimidate a civilian. Not only is this bad business (for your shop and/or your police job) but maybe you should "pick on someone your own size" (no pun intended - I hear that under all that fat, you're ripped).
Phil and I have been friends for nearly 20 years. His fee for me pointing out the stupidity of MRC's threats, free. The fun I am having at MRC's expense, priceless.
Why don't the two of you just settle it at the track and shake hands thereafter? After reading 100's of pages of this stuff, the two of you might actually get along - you are both very similar.

1. You don't have a clue, do you? Probable Cause is defined as: "Reasonable cause; having more evidence FOR than AGAINST. In US v. Riemer, DC Ohio, 392 F. Supp. 1291, 1294, the court set forth that PC is "an apparent state of facts found to exist upon reasonable inquiry which would induce a reasonably intelligent and prudent man to believe, in a criminal case, that the accused person had committed the crime charged of." If, assuming arguendo, that Phil made a comment about having you "whacked", you would have to be in imminent fear of immediate actions to be taken by Phil that would result in your impending death. If that was true, you should have pressed charges eons ago if, in fact, he made such a comment to your face. Again, assuming arguendo that he made such a statement, your time to act has long since passed as the two of you have not seen each other for more than 8 months. Anything you file now lacks credibility and reeks of false swearing. Should I discuss the burden of proof ("Beyond a reasonable doubt") you must meet at trial? I call it the "Ivory Soap" standard (99.44% pure). Good luck meeting that after all of your posts. My four year old son could knock this out at trial.

Therefore, any civil suit that you are contemplating will be frivolous litigation and cost you treble damages (treble means triple). I was merely poking fun at you from your own prior posts wherein you claim that you may be carrying more weight than you should (as am I). So, if you are a husky male and someone calls you such, what is so false about that? Sorry if I hurt your feelings. If you don't like it, go on a diet. I just did.
5. Never said I was harassing you, just having fun at your expense by taking apart your posts and showing you the flaws in same.

but see thats the thing about julian that makes him great he doesnt care what people think! his shop still puts up fast reliable cars and that cant be taken away from him or his shop
