Once you start making a lot of power the Z is not exactly a drag queen. Look around, I mean all the Twin turbo guys are still running 13s on street tires even with 400wp

right, don't pay any attention to all the other ones who have drivers who can drive that are running 12's and 11's all day, there are many z's just supercharged bolt on in mid 12's, so i don't know what you are saying. It doesn't counts when someone can't put the power down. tellin you now once i am vortech 400whp after this winter i will def. be in 12's easily. i have no doubt about it no matter what anyone says.

Just went to the strip in Tulsa yesterday for the Import Faceoff.

I only got to run twice though, so I was a little disappointed. My first run was a test to see how it would hook. Armed the nitrous for third gear, then shut it off.

13.03 @ 106mph

Next run, I dropped the pressure in the slicks down to 16psi.

Full nitrous off the line and through all gears. Let off around the 1000' mark because my bottle pressure was low... No heater unfortunately...

I coasted through to a 12.1 @ 108mph.

My 60' time was a 1.64, which felt really nice coming out of the hole.

I was planning to run 1 more time with 1000psi bottle pressure, but it never happened... I ended up waiting too long.

I know i will be breaking 11s next time. I will post up the slips and videos later on.

My setup is:

03 350z
Popcharger
Exhaust
ACT Clutch and Flywheel
26x9-15 Hoosiers

104 octane
NX Nitrous kit - 62n jet and a 35f jet

Forgot to mention that as long as it's not raining tomorrow, I will be dynoing with my setup.

That's a big shot on a stock block z.......good luck on 11's. Doesn't seem like it will be too tough if you are coasting to a 12.1.

Did the dyno run today.

Off the bottle I put down 247hp at the wheels.

On the bottle I put down 360whp and 418wtq.

Not quite what I was looking for on the HP side, but more torque than I thought.

My air/fuel ratio was 11.0 - 11.2 across the board. I think i'm going to step the nitrous jet up a little bit to lean it out and make more power.

Interesting I've noticed alot of people running 100 shot untuned. Are you planning on tuning it anytime soon? Makes me want to get my nitrous installed. Also what type of gas were you using when you dynoed?

That was on a dynojet.

I was running 104 Sunoco unleaded. I'm going to be stepping the nitrous jet up a little bit, and getting a bottle warmer. My next trip to the track is planned for Oct. 9th.

I'll post up vids of Sundays races, as well as the dyno pulls as soon as I get a chance to transfer them to my computer.

Just FYI.......looking at his jet sizes it is more along the lines of a 150shot.

I have also been contemplating a 100 shot or just biting the bullet on a FI set-up.

Oh ok now the coasting through with a 12.1 makes sence. Ive had my kit for years and havent installed it yet. Ive seen Z's run 100 shot with no issues but I'd be really scared about 150 shot.

Me too (in terms of being nervous about a 150 shot).......it crosses that 400 wtq barrier that is in my mind a no-no on stock DE. That is not too say it will instantly blow up, but it is beyond my comfort level.

I ran high 11s on 18in DOT tires with my APS kit on the stock motor.

Is this on stock ignition timing? If so, I'd be very wary of leaning it out much past about 11.5:1.
