A torch to heat what - the nitrous? That is highly not recommended. Do you know what happens if you overheat it? How about a good ole' heater blanket like you're supposed to use? If you decide to call me stupid and use the torch, please record it for youtube. Thanks!

Looking at your last trap it looks like you ran out of nitrous.

i have a bottle pressure gauge so i will not overheat the bottle and i have 75 shot jets....i assume there was nothing left in the bottle after we tried heatin the bottle with a torch for 5 minutes and the pressure gauge did not move....so i dont know what was going on with the nitrous.

and i know i have a G in my avatar but i drive a Z..

i will post video and timeslips once i charge the camera

Highly recommeded not to do the torch thing....What if you have a very slight leak that you're not aware of. Invest in a bottle warmer

A Torch? Are you serious? There are blankets, or a used bottle warmer is only like $75 or so. I will sell you the extra one I got. Come on. Not a very good idea.

Please guys... Don't spread mis-information! You're gonna confuse teh noobz.

Nitrous is NOT flammable. In fact, if the guy was using a torch to heat the bottle, and somehow the line popped off the bottle, the nitrous would actually extinguish the flame.

Nitrous is an oxidizer. Look it up.

Drag racers have been using a torch to heat bottles for MANY MANY years. It's much faster than a bottle heater, and works better.

As long as you have a pressure gauge on your bottle, there is nothing wrong with using a torch to heat the bottle (as long as you don't set your interior on fire... lol)

-Tim

BTW, excellent times! What tires were you running?
