Off the line, some wheelspin is ideal. No wheelspin and your not launching hard enough, the fastest 60ft's are at the verge of traction/spinning, but it takes lots of practice to get the feeling of that down and maintain good clutch/throttle control. Dont ever expect a "dead hook"

Regarding chirping on gearshifts I chirp into 4th on slicks its no biggie, it doesnt hurt you, your not spinning. Now if your spinning on shifts then obviously that is losing time. Some old times believe a chirp is a waste of time, and then they shift slow or let the clutch out slow/get into gas slow and I think that is weaksauce and counter productive compared to a chirp.
i understand the whole off the line thing u explained but idk if its just my open diff because when i do start to spin a lil its just goes out of control but only one wheel my rear left has less tread than my rear right do u think thats the reason i spin one wheel?? i know it never used to do that when tires were new especially going straight. this also leads me to when i shift aggressively into 2nd i stilll get one wheel spining then chirp 3rd and thats when i see a big difference as opposed to not going so. my 13.5 run was done shifting pretty slowly and engaging the clutch smoothly into 2nd so it doesnt even chirp, so i feel if i practice my launch and 1-2 shift results will be very satisfying. or maybe i should just buy someones used lsd

Good runs. Get out there more if you want to run lower et's. If not, at least you'll have done it once already.
