LSX? As in Chevy's awesomely potent small block powerplants?

We are just mocking the fact that cars get too much of an arrogant following.

The E36 M3 was gods chariot before the RSX (at least in my book).

Not so much anymore, I barely caught the tail end of it, but I had some friends in college who were big RSX/integra enthusiasts.

I respect the cars, but they are nothing to make a huge fuss over (much like most cars).

im still waiting to see a timeslip through all of this...those times posted up are completely crazy...there is no way with a 60ft. like that u are running that time with a z with those mods and that mph.....seems like everyone else has ran about the same times with mph....i went 13.7 at 101 with a 2.1 60ft. intake and cat back only street tires along with a bunch of others very close to that or exactly the same

an 06 wont trap that high with those mods. 06 tends to run slower than the 03, 04, and 05. it does have 298hp but it only has 260ft lbs of torque. the earlier de has 274lbs of torque. i call bs on this! where are the slips

Some gears, bolt ons, and the right tune should do high 12s.

Tune, full intake (including spacer), full exhaust, gears, drag radials, etc. might make for a 12 second car.

Intake and a tune on a mustang gets you there. Gears, exhaust, etc. just do soooo much more.

Stock for Stock I am pretty dead nuts with 06 GT's.

I'm speaking from experience here btw, Mustangs are no slouches at the drag strip.

yeah they make good power, but i see them running 13's and 14's at the track everytime im out along with z's, pretty equal and comes down to driver most of the time....and i don't see it hard to put a 06 z into 12's, honestly feel just as easy as a stang of the same year...and the z will pull the stang from a roll, the torque will help the stang get down the quarter..

Fine, don't listen to people who know both cars.

Do you know why an intake and a tune helps the Mustang so much?

Do you know how many bolt on DE's have run 12's?

Thanks.

Edit - just realized I'm being an ***. I've seen good drivers in both cars at the track and the mustangs have an advantage. You can pull 1.7/1.8 60' times on street tires with Mustangs. Solid axle wins in drag racing.

solid axle and torque help that stang get down the track for good times...Im not saying the stang is a slouch whatsoever, i realize how restricted the stang is out of the box and how much it is helped from the intake and tune, my friend well idk if id call him a friend but a local guy has a 06 GT intake exhaust and tune (manual) and it runs 12.9 consistently on the street tires, yes that is less mods than it would take a 06 z to run that time but the z isn't far off with the same mods imo with a good driver pulling 1.9's -2.0's on street tires like he should be..
