Cool, good info Coach

Id like to hit the track around Sept/Oct and see what this $hitbox runs on low boost.

Then a high boost pass for fun to see what it traps...

How high can you get rpm with out rolling? I can't see how the hand brake could hold high rpm with out rolling.

I do not use a brake when I preload. Maybe some for the high power guys might. I have not had the experiance where it was needed. I am still NA.

To oversimplify...sit there burning your clutch just before you launch.

This is not for a long period of time so the clutch should not be truely burning. It will apply some pressure to the tranny prior to hitting it with full power.

Here is a sample to try that will help you understand.
1. Lay your hand on a table
2. Sit a hammer on top your hand
3. Push down on it.

Now!!!
4. Lay your hand on a table
5. Hold a hammer about 24" above your hand
6. Swing the hammer as hard as you can...smashing your hand.

Steps 1-3 is preloading

Steps 4-6 is breaking an axle.

Let me know how the test works out for anyone that tries it.

ya my 28" DRs are M&H 275/45/18. its only a 9.5"tread tire. theres a nice 16" rim 28" slick available from MT i think thats a 10.5. Thats what you should roll Alberto if you have bbk/brembos

Alberto, that is the tire I run on the street on my personal Z. They are pretty good, but don't expect miracles at the drag strip with an 18" tire with little sidewall.

750whp DD (~850 dynojet). 1st is near useless, but 2nd hooks rather well if I roll into it. If I bang 1->2, it is straight to limiter in 2nd.

My car is lowered and I have yet to bring camber back into spec. This will be performed in the near future and I suspect will help a bit.

Here is a video from a couple weeks ago... this was my first time to the track in this car, so no making fun. I made 2 passes total, and went 11.0@138 on the 18" wheel street setup. Found a few things I need to improve on, and will be headed back soon. VIDEO 6mb

I hope so, it should have a lot left in it. The sound is so so.. I am still not sure if I like it. I just put 4" burns stainless exhaust... doesn't sound nearly as good as it does on 2JZ haha

1.9 60' , single GT42R turbo.

Slow Junk Hal...Slow Junk. 2 things if you want to actually go fast.

1) Big Cubes
2) No, not big ( . )( . ) even though that would make the ride more enjoyable. You're still missing this key ingredient...

What are you waiting for?
