not everyone keeps 900$ to 1600$ (depending on stage 2 or 5) spare axles on the shelf.

Still on stock axels..

Actually, has anyone truely overpowered the stock axels or CV joints yet?
We know wheel-hop has broken them (but that will break dss pro axels too). We know diff's have been ripped out. We know trans's have gone......but has anyone actually pushed AND broken stock axels or CV's purely by overpowering them (and also having the traction to lay it down of course)?

My stockers broke on the street from a dip in the road while spinning on the 1-2 shift.

Otherwise Id still be on them. Many 1.6 60ft's on stockers on these forums. PRELOAD the drivetrain...

That's the trick. It has kept my AWD DSM stock transfer case and axles in one piece at serious HP levels.

It's the shock load that kills parts, be it from the launch, or the windup and release of wheelhop.

In that car, the technique I use is hold up as hard as I can on the emergency brake and release the clutch until I feel it dragging on the engine. Middle yellow light, brake down, clutch out, the throttle is already on the floor and stays like that, and hope I can get my hand on the shifter to hit second before I bounce off the rev limiter too long.

OP - you will ad 60-150rwhp with most of the OTS F/I systems. Yes, that'll make you faster in a straight line, not necessarily faster around a real track with turns though.
