Default Drag radials

Is anyone running drag radials? I have a 08 hr z on a 75 shot. Will drag radials be too hard on the rear/Axel at the dragstrip?

Yeah well I'm assuming drag radials are alot harder on it? Or should it be ok? I know anything can happen and I couldn't find anything on this thread so I thought I'd ask.

You should be okay ..I run 285 40 18 nt05rs and I've been fine just preload the drivetrain. Anything can happen though anytime you hook you put more stress on the drivetrain

Nobody has ever run DR's on a Z, you would be the first.

Congrats for asking such a stupid fawking question.

What does your Z run on the 75 shot currently?

DR's (even street tires) are far more likely to break axles than bias ply slicks. If you are a drag noob and are worried about snapping things something like ET streets might be your best choice.

Sorry I didn't know there was a drag racing section, I'm a newbie to this site and I know people run drag radials on zs, just asked if you guys thought I'd be alright. Simple question. If I knew there was a drag racing section I would have looked. Sorry for that and I haven't ran it at the strip with the 75 shot yet. Waiting to get my new tires mounted cause my old ones are showing chords now.

make sure you have an aftermarket clutch setup if youre gonna be on DRs or your clutch will stick to the floor when you launch

The M&H are way better DR's. I've cut 1.6x 60's with mine

for a manual, a bias ply is much better and safer on your drivetrain. Once i burn up my M&H, goodbye radials
