So last night was pretty awesome. First time going to a strip, and I was more excited about the seeing the other cars than focusing on my launches, haha. So the weird thing about last night was my very first pass ever was my fastest of the night. I ran an 8.99 @ 80.03mph. The closest I got to that was a 9.0061 @ 79.63mph, on my 2nd run. I had one more run that was 9.08 @ 79.39mph, but all other 6 runs were between 9.23 (slowest) - 9.05 (4th fastest) with all of those times running between 79.24-79.63mph.
I only have the 60ft time from my 1st run, because before my 2nd run the 60ft timer got taken out. My 1st run 60ft time was 2.11. This wicked old school stingray with ITBs launched hard sideways, took out the 60ft while still sideways, brought it back, hammered it again, and still ran a 7.80 @ 108mph....Fing nuts.
I know it's my launches that are killing me. I was only staging it around 1700-2000rpm, and then just easing into it by about the 60ft, then mashing it once I knew I wouldn't spin the tires. Do I need to stage a little higher, or learn to ease into the throttle faster w/out breaking traction?

If you were there, you would know...hahaha. But naw, since I only got the one run in before the 60ft timer got taken out, my 60ft was 2.11.
Full bolt-ons, tuned by Jon @ Z1, transgo valve body, factory vlsd, V1 track wheels 18x8.5 running 235 Bf Goodrich sport comp-2. I didn't mess with tire pressure, because I didn't want to let too much out. First run, didn't do a burn out. Every subsequent run I did a little burn out, just enough to clean the tires off. But I agree with the guy I was talking with, that sometimes street tires don't respond well to several runs because they'll gradually pick up more oil from the track.

I found this and plugged all the info in...but it just doesn't seem correct.
