man.....this is soo easy.....simple turn of TDC or VDC whatever u have....and take your left foot and MASH your brake as hard as you can.....then punch the gas withyour right foot and once the torque converter i beleive it gives way at around 3000RPM's i will give u all more info later....good luck....another alternative is a neutral drop and just gun it!!!

isnt the neutral method a broken tranny just waiting to happen? Have never tried it but from what i've heard, it shouldn't be done. Safer to power brake.

1. Lift right foot up
2. Slam right foot onto upper half of accelerator
3. Depress your brake just enough that you can feel the calipers grab
4. Hold
5. Let go of brake
6. Enjoy

I also read the post about a month ago about removing the brake fuse to do burnouts. I did this and it works.

Before doing this I could barely get a squek out of my A/T. After putting the fuse back in I can get rubber even with the TCS on. With the TCS OFF, and holding the brake, I get really good burnouts.

I don't know if the fuse didnt seat good when I put it back in, but the brake lights work, maybe just a fluke huh.

dont nuetral drop people. not good. is it even possible with the z?

i dont have any problems burning the tires even when the fuse is still in place. maybe its because of the pulley, i dont know. i usually dont even have to floor the gas pedal for the tires to spin. but the fuse thing is handy for when you want to do a long burnout to warm up the slicks or whatever.

if you guys really want to burn some rubber, then look into getting a different torque converter, one with a higher stall. i dont have one, but hopefully i will sometime late this summer. after that, the fuse issue will be a thing of the past.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WHETHER BY ACCIDENT OR ON PURPOSE PUT IT INOT NEUTRAL AND DROP IT, THAT IS HOW YOU STRIP YOUR GEARS! i know it has happened to me on my previous car. take off TCS its by the gas cap release button, then just push the brake and gas at the same time, viola. smoking the tires.

you have to slamm the gas first then slam the break as soon as the tires spin then it will break. other than that it won't because of the failsafe with the break light. when it breaks u can let the break go a little bit to get the rpms higher to really put up some smoke. the break light takes away power when its on. this is the only way to do it if u don't remove the break light fuse.
