So if I add the NISMO lsd, 3.9 final drive and wider, stickier tires I think 1.9*'s are a reasonable expectation. I think that would put me in the low 13's. I don't know, but I'll find out in the next few weeks. ;-)

I appreciate all of your input greatly. It helps moderate my expectations. I'm putting $4,000 bucks into the car, so it better hook!
If it doesn't spend about $300 more and get some stickies

Outlook on the Toyos looks pretty good. Today, in 58 degree weather, I got a 1.96-60' and an et of 13.64. I was having a hard time getting the tires warm today. Had about 5 runs at 13.75 with 2.0*-60'. Worst of the day was 13.91. Once the temps get over 68, I think it will be a different story. Maybe the Toyos will be capable of high 1.8*'s. 13.4 seems pretty doable if so.

Thanks Brian. Unfortunately, I'm still trapping low. Trap was 101.43 on the 13.64 run. And my best trap was 101.52/13.74. Must find more speed. I'm just not sure where though. I wound all the gears out to redline.

I was satisfied with my 60' times though. I think the Toyo's will be a good tire because I was not able to consistently heat them up and I still pulled 2.09-1.96. I was doing a burn out and holding it as long as possible, but sometimes they just wouldn't get sticky.

Did you ever take your bike out there?

I'm really confused by your traps....your car should at least be trapping where I do.

I took the bike out there that one HOT weekend in the middle of april. Everyone was running REALLY REALLY slow....ran an 11.39@122mph with a 1.96 60' not bad...but not great...

You have an R6, right? That 60' could be a little lower, but that's a solid run. That was a crazy weekend, 88 degrees and 90 percent humidity. Ah, spring in Chicago.

I'm not sure what's up with my traps. I'm thinking about putting the factory ecu back in a seeing what happens. That's all I can think of. I'm sure the pulley is a plus and that only leaves the y-pipe?

I pulled a 1.90 60' on one of my runs...but I was short shifting (hadn't figured out perfect shift points yet) so I ran an 11.4@119mph...

The factory ECU sounds like a good idea. Have you weighed your rim/tire combo??? The one I was running at the track was 43lbs for the rim and tire. My summers are near 60lbs.

Default Watch Out - Falling Times!

Zillinois - Those times are really looking great! When is the next Byron run? I want to see the red monster with the new rubber.

I missed the Z day two weekends ago, I guess no one went?

rucorey,

Thanks, I'm getting the itch to go again soon. Next weekend is about the last weekend to go until the end of July. Have you been to autocross lately?
