About a month ago, I made my 1st trip to the strip. I have a 5AT. At that time, I had a Popcharger, test pipes and a grounding kit. My best time was as follows:
R/T 1.282
60 2.322
330 6.256
1/8 9.469
MPH 77.33
1/4 14.542
MPH 96.67
Last night, I went out again. This time I had the Popcharger, grounding kit, Test Pipes Kinetix plenum and Injen true dual exhaust. My best times were worse this time. My best time is as follows:
R/T 1.068
60 2.308
330 6.389
1/8 9.686
MPH 74.26
1/4 14.848
MPH 95.75
I am also running on stock tires. Could someone give advice as to why I ran worse times. I ran 6 runs last night and I only had 1 R/T over 1.0 and this was with my best run. My 1st time to the strip, I had 4 runs and my R/T's were all over 1.00. I have roughly 15k miles on the car, if that matters. I realize that elevation, air temp, etc makes a difference, but damn my times suck a$$!!

My guess is that your ECU is not adjusting properly to your mods. If you look at your numbers you are loosing mid to high rpm power. The ECU could be over compensating, making the car run rich or it may be too lean. Are your tailpipes black or fairly clean? Also, as you mentioned there are many other variables including temp, humidity, how much gas you have in your tank etc..... One thing to try is to go out again, make a couple runs, reset the ECU and make as many more runs as possible to see if the ECU might be causing the issue. Of course going to a dyno shop with A/F plotting is the best way to see if you need tuning.
i have the same mod you got and i do
R/T .243
60 2.235
330 6.038
1/8 9.134
MPH 80.58
1/4 14.013
MPH 102.33
put down ur tire psi to about 27,take out ur spare and jack, hold on ur brake to about 1800 and launch it

I'll be going to the dragstrip on this coming Saturday. Hopefully I'll nail some mid 13s. zachcrossen- you should be hitting 14 flat stock at sea level. Try running it in manual mode and lauching a lil below 2K. Torque brake it.

BTW manual mode is definitely quicker then full auto. About .2 sec in the 1/4 mile. Because it shifts quicker and has a higher rev limiter(6900rpm). 6600 is the actual redline.
Just so you know, your reaction time does not affect your 1/4 mile time. It just means you waited a little longer to start the clocks, thats why you can have a little quicker ET than your opponent and still lose because he left before you.
Sounds like you may be loosing a lot of time at the launch. Your new mods may be giving you more power / torque at your launch revs now that before the mods, causing excessive wheelspin. May be worth considering lower your launch rpms by 100 at a time until you get a reasonable start.
