I was talkign to moroso today regarding renting out the drap strip and we got talking about July 7th.

I asked if there would be any conflict with the Tertech Drift event being held on that day. I was told "no conflict" as TerTech is going to be on the skidpad only! I asked again "they aren't going to be using the drift course?" she said "no."

SO,.............what is the deal with the July 7th drift day?

At what time are you guys thinking of being in the drag stip? I might stick for that too.

road time, is just seat time or experience. if they decide that some one is pretty experienced, they will allow you to run on the track for practice as well.

... just got back from Moroso, man im frekin tired. Well, there were some pretty good drivers out there today. That practice track is no easy track at all... its very slippry and does not allow for major power unless its one turn. Thats my opinion...

I had a few good runs, but then my abs started getting retarded an soon after my fuel would shut off due to the car thinking its spinning outta control. anyway, after hitting a plastic garbage can, i found that i cracked the radiator mount which looks to be carbon fiber of some sort (good job nissan).. anyway, this caused the cracked portion of the suport to pushback and snap a vaccum hose leading to my waste gate... me not knowing that until after the fact... I go out an run two more laps and find that im over boosting and the car goes into limp-mode.

i shut the car off, and take off the front bumper... BOOM... theres the problem.... so anyway. Luckily I have a koyo radiator at home waiting to be installed and while at Moroso, I was able to fix my hoses...

I ran maybe 15 to 17 runs on that track and wasted very little tire. Thats how slick that track is.... but, hey... I had a lot of fun and no mater what, i learn and learn and learn.

Drifting with 19s is pretty hard given the strong chance for understeer. I will be looking to downsize an maybe sell my 19inch volks...

It sucked that you had so many issues, but a least you could get some practice.

I was thinking the same thinkg about you running on 19". Also tires are much more expensive than 18".

I had a lot of fun and probably about 40+ runs. I began with my rear tire pressures @ 40psi. Harry told me to lower them to 30 +/- so I droped to 33. What a difference, from then on my runs where great. I learned a lot.

It was nice meeting you, thanks for letting my ride along friend borrow your helmet. See ya at the next event. I might go to countyline.

Hey no problem !!! Nice meeting you too...

Its cool, my car runs differently on that track with all that HP. You have to hit it hard, but then let off an then clutch back again to keep it going.. plus with the 19's it makes it more of a challenge.

was deffinitly a fun event... I saw that you started to get your turns pretty good! Was good to see you improve as the day went on...

I found out at the end of the day that my clutch was sticking from all the heat plus the heat from my turbo... another issue that i will have to prep for before the next event... all minor stuff.

see you there!
