I drove a s14 400 horsepower SR20DET yesterday for an hour drive, towards the end I got a little itchy to mess around, gas-ed it a little on a turn (twice), fun fun and yessss I did say *****

Back to drifting. It's fun when you actually control an out-of-control vehicle. I have spare wheels/tires when I do go to the event. The tires are close to or at the wear bar. It's a cheap car sports compared to SCCA time-attack or even drag racing. Reason is you need Comp tires to really improve your time for TA. And for drag racing, it's mostly about HP and hookup at the start.
To the OP, ignore the negative people and do your thing. You don't need to be a pro to enjoy doing something that you love. Who knows, you might become the next woman to become a professional drifter or inspire the next lady drifter.

Wow that sounds fun. I suppose it's a fully built drift car. Too bad I don't have the hook up to drive a 400 HP S14. I may have access to a 100 HP go-cart. It's much cheaper to my wallet too.

im in wa also, gonna start using my z for some of the events when i get my lsd in. Bremerton is a good place to learn because you can't hit anything. I would stay away from drifting at Monroe or South Sound in Olympia. If you have specific questions hit me up on pm. But with your 03 practice in the rain at first just to get the feel off the rear end slipping, then progress from there.

Drifting a stock 350z is awsome and should be done first before you make the car too forgiving with suspension mods and what doodads you dont need right now. Look If you want to learn drifting fly down to California, I live 20 seconds away from Inland Drift and i can let you out on my V2 car and practice for hours. heres mine when we where closing the track for the night
