Nackers:
ya i agree.........I too have looked for steering knuckles at junk yards.....except every fool in DFW likes to front end wreck their Z...its nuts......i can never find good front pieces...
I found one, one time, but the yard wanted a rediculous price, cause they wanted it sold with all arms with it...

I'm pretty sure that the spindle/knuckle will break before anything else in this kit will.
I've had some rough contact and haven't had any issues with anything but the front knuckle/spindle breaking. It's crappy cast aluminum and the ball joint mounting locations are pretty thin. Also, the upper section that connects to the A-arm is super weak as well.
But, they are only like $100 from a junk yard. I'm pretty sure with this kit that will be your only real concern. Everything else is just nit picking imo. Their kit looks beefy enough to overpower that knuckle. But, I would also try to stock up on knuckles like I am. Sucks breaking one of those at the track... trust me.

Pics of mine: circled in red! blue arrow is my steering stop to show reference location.

I combat this with the use of spacers and alternating wheel sizes to keep my widest ones out back.
This is an old pic, but i have since smoothed it out and given it a generous radius transition. I constantly clean it and inspect for cracks........
I have spare compression arms as back ups...

Jason, I had the exact same thing going on when I was first playing with angle mods. If you are running any kind of a decent sized wheel up front with steering mods you will be rubbing the compression arm!
Well ****, I'm going to check out tomorrow cause I most likely run the most aggressive fronts on here for drifting 18x11-2 or 18x10-8. But I never feel any thing at full lock..
Going to take pics tomorrow..

I have been searching around for info on DIY angle mods or a tutorial on cutting the steering stop. No luck so thought I'd bump this up rather than start a new thread.
I'm sick of getting to lock so quick when drifting and need to solve this, but I have some questions for you guys.
What was the end result of taking out the steering stop entirely, did you scrape? Also, if I cut them, how much should I cut off? Anyone have any pics of a nicely cut one? Finally, do I need to replace anything other then the inner tie rods? outers? Can I just put a 5mm spacer on the end of the stock inner, since it's basically the same thing?

^ I dont have it, but from those I have talked to, along with even looking at the pics on their site you can see that the wheels they use up front are not wide at all...
your best bet is to combat your issue with long studs and slip on style spacers up front....
I have multiple spacers for whatever wheels im running at the time...
If you want mad angle, this is your kit, but it doesnt seem to solve all the wide wheel issue.........
anyone else that actually have one comments? in for replies...
