What would the top speed be if using 4.08 on an A/T?

the only way to have it work on an auto would be to swap not only the ring and pinion but also the differential, to one from a manual car. I suspect you would also want to reprogram the ecu for shift points as well (no idea how one goes about doing it). From there, find any online gear calculator, enter the relevant data and it will tell you the speed.

3.9 are special order from Japan and considerably more money that 4.08. There is less than a 5% difference between a 4.08 and 3.9, so it really becomes all about personal preference - whether you think the extra cost and extra wait is worth it for the 3.9 vs the 4.08.

It is impractical for us to sell you the exact shims you need as there are simply too many (14 different sizes offered) and you don't know what you need till you go to reassemble everything. The overwhelming majority of people are able to reuse their existing shims.
