As for ideas, don't have any, but I do have some advice.

X-mas season, most popular places are booked or crowded, so maybe avoided popular places like lone star, etc.

I've got a great suggestion......

We can meet down at the Constance Lake Seaplane Base (West-end)......
By that time the lake will be frozen, and I have full authorization to set up a winter X-cross course there..... We could meet at the lodge for lunch or something and then go have some fun on the lake... What do you guys think???

oh ya, the secret project is coming along very well. Ive been getting tonnes of help from guys on this board. Sharif from forged internals has been givin me great advise aswell

Its where I keep my planes during the summer float season....
Good friends with the owners of the place (Heck I bought over 25K worth of fuel there last summer!)
Good food too!!!! Nothing fancy, but I think it be cool for all of us to meet there....
We should do it, late afternoon, that way I can fly my bird over (3 min flight) as she's parked at the Carp Airport....

Spoke with Chuck (the owner this morning) and he said we were welcome to set-up some cones and have some fun on the lake..... He's a car guy, and would love to see us there.....

i like the idea! But if we are gonna do some ripping around in the snow we should wait a couple more weeks. but if we are just going to eat, we can meet up soewher first and drive down there. But my escort only goes 90-100 and takes along time to get to that, so it will drive down.

 

Yup, another 2 weeks and the lake will be frozen (already is but we need 30cms for cars and 45-50cms for my plane)
If you want, I can pick you up at the rockcliffe airport (Aviation Muesum off the parkway) and you can fly to the meet with me if you want.....

Cant go back to driving Lauries Taurus. Its fat and slides through lights, and it holds 5 people, and its blue, and it wobbles, and I dont like the wipers, radio, or seats, and it SUCKS!

 

Lucky guy. I picked up an '06 Honda Pilot (GREAT ride!) for the wife and I figured I'd drive her Volvo V70 until I sell it in the spring. No fun. I really miss driving the Zed - regardless of the season. I'm thinking about taking advantage of this down-time to get Nismo hard rubber bushings installed.

 

So are you going to bring the Honda or the Volvo out to the lake?
It be nice to set-up a mini auto-X on the lake.... I`ve got 15 cones, does anyone have any more to bring????

 

Why not just do the MCO Slush & Slide (winter Solo2) event at the Ottodrome? Great layout and lots of fun to do.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it this year as I'm away on the weekends.

well, we dont have to have our meet before christmas, i cant anyway. i havent even started shopping yet

but in about a week we can set a date for a couple weeks from now. a time good with everyone. i'd love to rip the escortaround a course but it would probably blow up. and the tranny shifts really hard....if it shifts at all!
