And here is why. I am in the Unionville area and want to add to my Z (ie. spoiler/grill/engine bay dress up).

My local dealership wants $1000+tax for the “lip type” spoiler and can not do the grill or engine bay. Does this seem ridiculous to anyone else? Even if it costs $600, I am looking at $200 mark up + $200 in labour? I understand it is a dealership but still. Not to mention the fact that within the last 3 years, we have bought 2, yes 2, other Pathfinders, in addition to the Z. That’s disappointing.

What is worse, is that 5 other local shops I called only cary “performance enhancing parts” (ie. nothing cosmetic for the Z, such as the wants outlined).

Please, please, please help me. I want to add these items. Yes, they are on the net. However, I do not want to get raked over with custom &/or shipping fees. Plus, I would like to see the items as a I buy. Does anyone have any thoughts at all? Please.

I am thinking of resorting to eBay for the grill.

I might be able to help you. I know a few people working at Nissan headquarter so I can get the parts at empolyee price. I will need the part numbers. In terms of install find yourself a good body shop that will do the install usually much cheaper then dealer. IF you want a recommendation let me know as well my dad has a highschool budy that opened a shop does great work.

What type of Engine Bay stuff are you looking for , I might be able to help you out.

 

I am looking for the engine head/battery/fluid covers...I believe they are made of carbon fiber or come in different colours to match your Z (or close to it). Essentially...the covers for these areas or "dress up."

As well, or another example would be the chrome (I think) exterior gas cap cover/replacement.

Does this make sense? I really appreciate your response.

I am going to Z-Fest for sure , the Markham meet I don't know I am doing another car show that day .As far as the covers why don't you get them painted to match the colour of your Z. Hope to see you at Z-Fest for sure , If ou need any help PM me.
