Guys, I don't how many of you live in the Richmond Hill area but I heard around 10 cars got towed. They were not speeding, they were not racing, they just look like a sport car..cars got towed like RSX, BMW 325, stock 350z, TSX, etc...Everyone has to pay to get back the car from the cop even tho there is no illegal modification..this is ridiculus...I just wanna see if anyone of you got towed and becareful these days when you go out..I heard there is a RSX got towed in the gas station while he is putting gas into his car...

 

Is there a reason in towing their car?

 

they would have to have probable cause for the car to be unsafe driving on public roads. otherwise, the people who's cars were towed have a VERY strong case for unrightful tow and/or seizure. for the police to fight the case in court, they would need to prove probable grounds for the car being towed. so if this is true, most likely there was something or other wrong.

 

hopefully this is the case, so I dont have to worry...my car looks sharp but they are all nismo parts..so I am safe i think..

Authorities cannot remove your vehicle unless you have broken a by-law...
I would assume that this is a case of broken telephone....

And if my car was involved in this, I would def be seeking answers justifying why...

 

People around me ***** all the time about how sucky it is to live here in South Bend, IN...but when I hear stories like this, it makes me so happy that we don't have the kind of cops that pull cars over for being modded up, that's so ghoulish of them. I hear about this kind of things happening in Cali all the time.

I heard that having on venting BOV is grounds for getting towed? Thats just dumb, they don't go out and towe away vipers or vets.

 

... sports cars? barely. Obviously you don't really know any of the story behind the towing. Notice how it's never the drivers fault when they get in trouble by the police?

 

Well, this is what I heard and just want to give everyone some advise what was going on..I was not the one got towed. If what I heard is not only a rumor, I dont see how can a guy putting gas in a gas station can make the police to stop him...anyway, I know what you mean Bender, and I totally agree with that...just hope the cops wont be there when we are slightly speeding as everyone does...

 

Cops here in Vancouver do whatever they want. If you complain, they'll say you were doing something illegal, then it's up to you to prove you weren't. They'll probably chalk this up as a victory against potential street racers. We live in a different country than the States. Police are rarely accountable, and there is no way to fight anyone in court.

 

It's funny how they bust japanese sports cars that look modded, but you never see them bust "suped" up muscle cars or classic cars that are loud as all get out and probably more harmful to the environment bc they are "classic."...one of my biggest beefs is the harley davidson guys...those things are so "modded" it's ridiculous, and most of them don't have cats or mufflers, just straight pipes, but cops don't hassle them.

Just curious, do you live around Commerce gate??? cause I've seen a white Z with nismo kit and exhaust very often turning into Times Ave.

with that aside, now I am so paranoid to drive my Z...

 

That could me my Z, but mine is with the ings front lip.

Getting back to the topic. My Z has not been towed yet. haha. Hope that will never happen. All the modifications on my car are street legal. I just hope I don't get pulled over for my front clear reflectors or super white turn signals.

I was thinking of a nisom CAI (R-tune), which is not street legal, so I guess I should stick with the stock intake for now.

 

Yeah, all my parts are street legal as well and my car isnt that low too...but cops dont care, they are looking for harrassment. I need to get some parts install on wed...and now I am paranoid. Damn cops
