i'll bow down the reigns to you in 2009 dave. i don't have the finances to play around with a fully-built motor. there's just so many factors that could go wrong and when it does, there's 7k here, 7k there and i don't have the money for that. not to mention a lot of these guys end up having their z's blown up and parked at a shop waiting to be repaired all season.

after reading all those horror stories with mrc/gtm customers, i'm glad i didn't seriously consider going fully built.

Even in the "regrets about going built" thread.. most built block guys wish they would have just purchased another stock block..

i suppose if you built your block to run a conservative 450-500 rwhp, than you'd be better off than someone (like me) who's sticking to the stock block and crossing his fingers. but if i've spent 20-30k on a built-block, i'd expect that thing to be 600+ hp and ... dare i say it, RELIABLE enough to be abused.

Well, if I were to boost the car, I wouldn't build, but purely from a financial standpoint
If I could afford to build, I'd build. Rich's car is a bit of an inspiration though, most people say that 400+ is not recommended on stock block.

winter tires have been installed just in case I get the itch to take the lady out on a winter cruise... only if the roads are dry of course.
