Engine oil has way too many mixed review. I think most guys here use Motul. But I've heard that Castrol Syntec GC Formula outperforms it in terms of protection... Check UOA thread in engine section.

As for tranny and diff, motul gear oil works the wonders!

XX means German Castrol.. Its very hard to find here.

I would recommend you stick with the mobil1 0w40 synthetic. Its had good reviews in the UOA thread. It is also relatively cheap and readily available.

If you dont want to go to a dealership, I can recommend:
-SpeedStar
-Gilmans

I personally goto SS, but I have heard good things about gilmans as well.

try Motul OB1-K3N081, gives you lots of force, but with less friction than conventional oils

Our revised web-site will highlight AMS achievements over the years in the International Z scene in a couple days.

We also have a nice 3-Page feature in this months PAS magazine highlighting our products install on the Editor's 350Z!

We use Amsoil Synthetics, and operate on an appointment basis. Most clients bring their own oil (Mobil 1) which is readily available at the big-chain stores. Stick with OEM filters!

There's no way Gilman will touch my car again. Nothing against Raymond, because he's a helluva guy and I know him personally. The first thing I did when I got my car was to have them put in some stainless brake lines. The pedal felt like **** after I got my car back. I rebled the 4 corners again and it was fine. I know the LINES don't make a difference in pedal feel, but neither should they give a spongy feeling when you're supposed to have fresh fluid in there.

After that one time, no way is my car going back. If his employees can't even install brake lines properly, wtf am I supposed to think. Alignment wise, I hear nothing but good things about Raymond tho

+1 .. i have nothing but high-praise for raymond, he definitely knows his stuff and has the skill to work on high-end cars .. his lackey's on the other hand, not too sure about them, i'd only trust them to do oil changes and nothing more. last time i was there getting my D2R bulbs replaced, one of the lackey's was struggling to remove the wheel well ... he ended up breaking one of the clips.

Normally I just do it myself. I bought a pair of Rhino Ramps from Canadian Tire (only about $50). They work really well and pay for themselves very quickly. It takes about 10min or so and saves you some cash. I use Mobile 1 but there is tons of stuff on the forum regarding oil but it might take you a few days to read it all. I got through some of it but then just went with Mobile 1 synthetic since it seemed pretty good. Some people swear by it and other don't. End of the day it is pretty much up to you as to what oil you think is best for your car.

I have the pulley's and rad on my car. Only issue is that my car blows cold air (during heating) at idle. Apparently I have some air in my cooling system and have to bleed it. Going to do it next weekend when I get a chance. Fun Fun!!! The disadvantages of driving in the winter I guess.

This is not necessarily true. Those who would like to know which oil is best for the VQ, should read the UOA thread.. its a long one, but well worth it.

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=258663

^This thread reveals the truth about how each oil reacts with our VQ. Reading through this will allow you to make an informed decision, instead of relying on differing personal opinions.

Happy reading!
