Why does RFD get to keep a whole post of negative experiences on *EDITED - IB ADRIAN * motors and we get censorship at this forum. RFD's a much larger forum general consumer forum vs here, a specialized 350z forum.

*EDITED - IB ADRIAN EDIT* can probably 'sue' RFD as well.

I was looking at importing my G35 from Ontario originally (a couple years ago price difference was quite steep) and I talked to CAA. They were pretty nice and took a whole load of pictures of the car for me; they had one of the best prices in Canada at the time as well.

Only thing that stopped me from making the purchase was a rust spot on the tirewell of the G. I wonder how a 2 year old car could rust if it wasn't damaged (or maybe just vehicles in Ontario rust quicker due to heavy salting?); but they informed in the first contact we had about the rust spot and took several pictures.

I think that is pretty respectable on their part to be completely honest; considering some of the dealers I have spoken to have tried to hide most of their issues which were obvious in the pictures.

 

RFD has proper legal representation. I would bet $ that IB did not put up much of a struggle.

IMO, IB adrian is simply a cooler...

They might be able to sue Red Flag Deals; but on what basis?

There are no laws dictating what INDIVIDUALS can say or what they can not say on the internet; unless of course those rights infringe on the rights of others. There are however "rules" on forums such as this; where we are restricted to whatever you moderate is acceptable. But, when did anyone actually provide anything that was beyond a truthful encounter of what happens at the said dealership? RedFlagDeals has a heavy content of user based experiences on the forums; some junky dealership is not that large compared to larger companies users have complained about. I am sure those companies however considered their reputation as well; it is obvious P motor does not. RFD has probably been threaten but as we have seen; not to the point where words become censored and a limitation of actual experiences.

Sorry to say; but my350Z members do not represent Internet Brands even though your company owns the website. If you believe this is not the case; just modify in the TOS that "views expressed by the members of 350z does not particularly reflect that of IB and any of is subsideries" and you should be somewhat free from what users say on this board. If P Motors has an issue with what a specific user commented on; and given it was a legitimate libel against the company; I think it would have been more appropriate for administration to contact that user and ask him to possibly edit his post; but to censor the company's name and to delete posts?

What P Motors essentially is doing is claiming that any references to the company is libel which is ridiculous. Their attempts of sueing are nothing more than a failed attempt to properly correct issues; and I highly doubt that they would be able to convince a judge that saying their name consist as this. American justice system is not the same as the Canadian justice system; and although precedent of american cases does bear some factor on the Canadian justice system; it often times does not.

I think P Motors is bluffing; and even moreso; their case has no bearing. Any company would realise that; and I am sure P Motors would not even deal with the legal cost associated with this to take it to court. But I guess IB would not want to take that risk or incur the legal fees associated if P Motors does take this to court ...
