Default 2006 350z Base

New to the forum, hello everyone!

I'm considering buying a 06 350z.
Wondering if the car is driveable without traction control with a good set of winter tires?
The one I'm looking at is around $28k with 20,000km.
Good deal/bad deal?

Opinions/advice is appreciated!

If you want to go through the importing process yourself you can pick up a Base model in the US for about $20K. I paid $24K for my used '06 Enthusiast and it was only 6 months old and 5300 miles on it.

The car is pretty stable in the snow pending you have a good set of winter tires. Obviously and spirited driving should be limted to empty snow covered parking lots. Be sure to pick up these tires. They will make all the difference.

I have the winter sports M3s and they are great. I would NOT recommend driving the car in the winter without VDC. I drove this past winter and VDC helped bigtime!!

Consider spending the extra money if you can.

I agree with the the comment about VDC - it's a must for winter driving.

I highly recommend VDC for winter, it really helps to limit putting too much power to the wheels.

07 touring with very little miles for 25 sounds good to me..

you can call any auto broker and they will ship the car to your door, take care of taxes and border fees.. which you will have to pay, and then on top you will have to pay the broker $1000 is pretty average.

state taxes, which you will pay on top of your price if from a dealer, no you will not get this back, negotiate the tax off or lower the price never buy for full price.

In my search I got dealers to lower as much as $2K off asking price, not saying that’s what will happen but give it a shot.

TFX international imported my car from Pheniox AZ , they did a great job and the broker fee was 185$ not bad considering i was half way around the world when i did this.

PM me if you have any questions.

No they can't. The cars get all rusty and swirly and chipped, and nasty looking.

agreed with mike, i think if you can afford a Z..you can probably afford a beater for winter. Save you some money on insurance too.

Meh, it can't be driven to it's potential and enjoyed n the winter anyways. No tracks are open and the roads are terrible. I'd rather have a really nice Z for many summers than watch it slowly getting effed up. One day maybe I can add another sports car to the collection and enjoy them both. If you drive your car in the winter, I guarentee you aren't keeping the Z more than 6 years.

If you only want the Z 6 years tops before it looks completely used up and is pawned off for another work horse, so be it.

yes, US pricing.
a lot of work importing, but think its going to be worth the trouble in the end.

so far put 1k down on the car.
arranged transport with dasautoshippers.com (anyone have any experience with them?).

Should be in my hands within 20days.
I'll keep everyone posted
