Might bring my Mini if the weather is gonna be crap. The understeer is more managable in the wet. And.....if i crash it, its the Mini not the Zed.

The mini would be nice on the track. I could bring my auto cavalier but it would be embarrasing slow and suck on handling. I think our mini van handles better than the cav.

Z for me rain or shin I will just have to be extra carefull if it rains. The Z has seldom seen rain only if I get caught in it.

Weather is showing clear in the afternoon.

The other Sunoco is just in the little town north of bowmanville

if you take Liberty Street south instead of Waverly (liberty is the main street east of waverly, that winds its way south from #20 (the road mosport is on) all the way to bowmanville. Follow Liberty south and you cant miss the sunoco its at the corner of one of the 4 way stops.

Here is a google map

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...,0.159988&z=13

I think its Liberty and concession 7 but im not sure.

Its not even 10 min from the track and will save you 1.50$ a litre. I think 94 was 2.99$ last weekend at mosport iirc.

Dave shoot me an email and i'll see if I can't give you some general tips before you head out, the more theory you know before you get to the track the better use you can make of your time on track.

Guys I had a fabulous time today with the TPC guys and the Ian Law drivers training course.

The rain held off most of the day and we only got a light sprinkle.

The day started off cautiously learning the lines and getting the feel of the car on the track. By the end of the day I was having such a blast turly pushing the car and even making mistakes LOL but knowing what I was doing wrong most of the time. It is not a top end high speed course. There was only one spot I could get it into 4th but it was kinda scarry so I mostly raced around in 2nd and 3rd. It may not sound fast but trust me it is fast.

Learning the apex, elevations, braking acceleration, so much i cant really reme
mber it all. We even got to go around the skid pad.

I would highly recomend this to anyone that wants to learn how these cars really handle and what the fawk its really all about! haha

Check out pics on the TPC site. They are a great bunch of guys.

I quickly read over this thread and some of the posts jumped out at me. Some of the things people say

I'm actually glad the track didn't provide the opportunity for rediculously high speeds. I almost lost it atleast once on almost every lap that I did on that track. I never got the chance to look at my speedo even once, caught a glimps of my tach but thats all i could allow myself.

Way to represent guys! I've been out a couple of times before with the TPC guys but wasn't able to make it this time.

The Subie guys also run there sometimes and I've been out with them before. They are also a good bunch of guys. They usually book the track for half a day and you can run for about $100. A good deal if you have a little experience as there is no school.
