Default Noob Question, Plz Help!

so what's with the DRL? does DRL = HID?

when i start the engine and release the parking brake..the HID/XEON will turn on automaticlly.. is this HID the same as DRL ??or what?

sorry for the Noob question. but i really wanna know.

nope, once you let the handbrake down it stays on until you shut the car off.

cos i feel that the HID on my 08 Z is always on while the engine is running.

DRL does not = HID

DRL= Daytime Running Lights

Is this a US car?

Why do you need to shut them off? HID's on = the ballerness anyway. I've run into so many G's and Z's with full headlights on during the day because they want the HID instead of the halogen to light up
Mine is wired the same way as yours, HID always on, halogen only as fog/high beam.

only downside to that is that the life of the bulb is not going to be so great and ull have to dish out a nice stack for new once =)

i have no drls, module is there, so i just pulled the fuse, so i have no lights what so ever untill i turn them all. blacked out w/o any lights ftw, stealth during the nights

^^ i wish i had stealth mode...could turn off my headlights...pass the guy on the touge and turn it back on to give him the thumbs up as I pass him

u can always blind him by high beaming then letting all those horses go within the vq

thanks guys for all the help...so ...it's like the hid will turn on when u r driving ...no matter what?? and there's nothing we could do to shut it off? it's killing the hid bulb...damn!!!

if its an american car, it has drl module, it should be located beside the battery. once you find it, follow the wires untill u see a fuse, pull the fuse and the module isnt working, ull be in the same situation as me. manual on off for all lights. (remove the battery cover under the hood on the passenger side. towards teh center of the car) good luck.

thats weired... some one rewired your car then, see if u can look under the bumper for after market wiring type of look. all stocks come with yellow bulb drls :\
