well, I already got the charges cleared from my credit card by doing a chargeback, so now CapOne can deal with it

I am rooting for them to nail the **** hard tho.

Good choice. Its better to deal directly with your credit card company rather than paypal.

this is exactly why i rather deal pay abit more and deal with local vendors, as trustworthy as some online vendors could be.

the good thing is that you got your money back.

This will also not help you. The credit card company will recover the funds from paypal, but all paypal will do is put your account into a negative. They wont bother with capital one, they will come after you. Log into your paypal account now and have a look.

Paypal Canada is a Canadian company so they will issue the negative account to a collections company. Your credit bureau will have a Collections Account from Paypal for $770 which will remain there until you pay it. The collections company will call and mail you like any other collections person until you pay it.

No Canadian bank will issue credit if you have collections on your bureau no matter what the reason for it is.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade but I have seen this exact thing play out before about eleventy billion times. It's always the same.

shocking update, I just got a UPS tag saying there's a delivery for me. This guy is wack, if indeed he did send the diffuser, and not a ball of cloth, why did he not reply to emails? Or even counter the paypal dispute?

i had a similar situation with ebay, i paid by paypal scammer didn't follow through the things he said he would, i had no tracking number i called paypal and they told me to try to dispute this with the seller if not they would take care of it. after a month of emails and no shipment at my door i called paypal again and they said that i passed the 30 day from the day i paid to claim it, so im screwed.

so like the people above me who said all the thing about paypal they nailed it right on the spot. i would recommend calling your creditcard company and tell them that you got scammed paypal isn't doing **** and your not paying for it.

goodluck
