Toronto auto dealer’s registration revoked
Toronto, Ontario – A Toronto auto dealer has had its registration revoked, with the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) advising consumers that, before they purchase a vehicle, they should ensure that their dealers and salespeople are registered.
Registration for Prestige Toys Limited, at 1017 Finch Avenue West in Toronto, is revoked as of December 14, 2009. In Ontario, all motor vehicle dealers and salespeople must be registered under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act before they can buy, sell or lease vehicles.
Prestige Toys’ registration was revoked after it was found that consumers had been misled regarding the history of vehicles they had purchased, or had been provided with bills of sales that misrepresented the actual purchase price. The dealer filed an appeal, but the order was upheld. The dealer’s officer and director is also not registered under the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act.
Transactions conducted through registered motor vehicle dealers are protected through the Motor Vehicle Dealers Compensation Fund. The fund, which is financed by registered dealers, is available under specific criteria to consumers who may have suffered a financial loss from their transaction.
To verify if a dealer is registered, visit OMVIC.

About dam time. When i was purchasing my car i did go to prestige since they always had the best pricing on the vehicles. reason being they were us cars bought on online actions ratings 5 stars and lower. Their 350z were always 3 star cars which were involved in some sort of an accident that was shown on carfax as minor, but in reality was not as small. Anyway my terrible experience with them was one of sort in which i went to the dealership 3 times to see the car and every time i was there the car seamed to somehow disapeer. the story that the sales girl that i was dealing with told me was a "the car belongs to the owners son and he took it with him" or "he just left" and the final one was when he was suppost to leave the car there for me to see was " he wanted to leave the car but then he got into a fight since his dad didnt want to give him another car to go home in or some **** like that. Anyway i was real ticked of since i live in brampton and prestige is not the closest to me, anyway i am glad that i didnt end up buying a car from them because the last car i purchased was an audi a4 and that i purchased from a similiar dealer called bel auto which after 1 year started falling apart and i lost big on the vechicle.
at the end theses guys are all crooks and liars.

Before buying my 350 back in April 2008 I posted on here asking about dealers, prestige was one of them. They threatened legal action against my350.com and the admins removed my thread. After a few weeks they put it back up but edited all of the posted and removed everything regarding Prestige auto. Prestige Auto thereafter became known as “blank blank”

Ha I am not surprised, I actually grew up near this dealership(Bathurst and Finch) and would always hear rumors of shady business tactics with cars coming from Montreal, US, etc.

This place, I posted a thread on here when I first started thinking about buying a car asking why Prestige misled customers about the cars. They ALWAYS had a good price listed and then when you worked out the finance, it ended up you were paying literally 10k more in the end. Also, they always posted their 05 Z's as anniversary models and such, when they were clearly base.
