Clutch for 600hp build
I got no useful help in the Drivetrain forum, so thought I'd hit up my Canadian cohorts.
Long story very short: Clutch gave up clamping power while tuning my new motor build.
Looking for advice on specific models known to be solid for ~600ft/lb of torque while maintaining decent drivability.
Anyone have a suggestion? My local shop deals Exedy and ACT but I'm open to anything that'll work. Reliability is my highest criteria.
Cheers

Are those sprung or unsprung discs?
How much torque are you making?
How is engagement?
Thanks

Sprung-currently 520lbs-rough break-in period, stock feel engagement once broken in.

I run the JWT clutch & flywheel package ... I think the most I put on it was 450whp...but no complaints thus far.
it's stiffer than OEM but I don't mind...

I'm over 700HP and it still holds like a champ.

I thought that with those power levels a multi plate clutch was a necessity.
I'll email JWT for further info on torque capacity.

For anyone interested, I have ordered the OS Giken triple plate. Should be here in a couple weeks.

Its necessary when you have awd and lots of grip
With rwd you will break tires lose so you get away with single plate
I have jwt on my powerlab single turbo if it slips Im going southbend stage 4 6 puck
I had exedy triple on my fully biild Evo x spend 3k$ and I had to rebuild it after 10k miles
