what is governor chip?
heard it gives you like 50 HP?
how much do they cost? and where do i get'em???

A governor is usually part of the ECU that limits your top speed and/or rev-limiter

A govrnor can be added, no performance gain. And likely less performance will occur

 

sounds like youre talking about a performance chip, not a governer chip.
more european cars have performance chips, i.e there are some VW aftermarket chips that gain them about 40-50hp. also older non OBD-II cars.

ive never seen/heard of one for teh Z.

 

Yeah older OBD-I and certain newer OBD-II and up ECUs can be chipped. Ours can only be flashed, and there are companys that do it such as Technosquare, but that won't do much if you don't have other mods as the ECU is tuned pretty well from the factory.
