Has anyone tried mounting a Flux Capacitor on their car. I believe it is manufactured by the same company who manufactured the above item. I heard it can make your Z travel back in time

I also manufacture and distribute "Sam's Magic *** Horsepower Acid Beans or SMAHAB." These are also patented, but in Hungary. What you do is stick these in your butt while your Z is warming up in your driveway. Once you drive off you will definitely feel a difference in your seat as it eats away the lining of your sphincter with it's patented acid technology.

For other great products, please PM me

Jess, this is what Igor wrote at this link, I wonder if some of this was his imagination after he sees the pics that were posted?

Not flaming him, but does he work for the company, ect?

"I was skeptical of DPS's claimed capabilities when K&G initially approached me to try it out. The instructions were very clear and installation took no longer than 5 minutes in my own garage. I immediately took a car for a spin to see if I could really notice the difference a tiny box on my battery would make. To say that I was surprised is an understatement. As I punched the gas my heart pumped faster and my eyes lit up - the improvement was that exciting. The effects of DPS are very hard to describe in words - you simply need to be in the driver's seat of a car equipped with DPS to fully understand this hype. The car feels crisper and smoother throughout all RPM levels. The difference in the feedback through the gas pedal is blatantly obvious and pleasant - it seems as though the engine and the transmission were just waxed inside and out and the entire operation of an automobile is now working much more efficiently. DPS is a great product because it attacks a very fundamental inefficiency in the vehicle. This prompts a domino-like reaction of improvement throughout all electronic components of the car. This is why the results that the DPS delivers are so impressive.

- Igor Sushko | Lexington, KY | 2003 Nissan 350Z"

Jess, did you feel this when you tested it?

Anybody want buy a slightly used DPS from me? Only $200 plus $13 shipping. I'm knocking $50 off the regular price because it is used.

Serious inquiries only please.

Hah, I almost fell for it! Thanks for researching it Jesse; Igor said he was gonna send me one, guess I'll cancel that! or just chunk it when it gets here!

I hope no one takes it out on Igor because he was just trying to push it, didn't know it was a scam.

Jesse, just tried calling you about this but got voicemail.

First, I would like to apologize for my own negligence and gullibility in the promotion of this 'product.' The results and opinions that I have posted regarding the DPS are genuine and came from my experience - these results, I now see, were the effects of the extra ground that this box provided, which of course is in no way worth $250. The DPS was presented to me as something unique, involving newfound and secret technology. The information I was provided by the people I trusted, along with the results I saw in my car (smoother idle, smoother revving, a 2hp gain on the dyno), created reason for me to believe in this product. I take full responsiblility for jumping to quick actions and not thoroughly investigating what it is that I am promoting, which I should have done before getting involved with the product.

Second, the sale of the DPS has been terminated on AutomotiveForums.com.

Third, I will do everything I can to ensure every person that has already purchased the DPS is aware of what it actually is and has a chance to receive a full refund.

Fourth, as an owner of a media outlet that has a very large reach to the automotive public, I feel that I have failed to serve my purpose of protecting the general public from being mislead by providing unbiased factual information (in this instance, it would have been to open up the box and see for myself what exactly it is that I am promoting so aggressively). I will be doing everything I can to ensure that this will never happen again.

Fifth, I am still dumbfounded so I will get back with something more to post later.

Igor, thanks for that post.

You have reacted in the right way by taking off DPS from your forums.

What are you going to say to K&G about this?

Actually, those wires hooked up in a circle create a magnetic field which increases the voltage across the sparkplugs and produce that crisper and smoother feedback through the gas pedal.

Just Kidding. These guys are BUSTED!

This is a perfect example..along with many others including Danny-boy... why this site is so great... anything fishy ---->>> bam -> investigated ->found to be true or untrue and if untrue ====>>> BOOM. The big hook in the sky comes down for removal.

Great investigative journalism at work... thanks, jesseenglish -- good job !

After getting off the phone a moment ago, I can officially say that the DPS sales in North America have been frozen and everyone who has already purchased a unit will be notified of the truth behind this product along with a full refund including shipping charges.

We're opening up another DPS box today, from which the Acceleration chart was made, as clear improvements were observed on that one. Although unlikely, one of my moderators on AF suggested the following:

"I know that a while back radar detector manufactures would send working units to magazines for testing, but then sell non-working dummy units to the general public. Have you opened up any of the units that testing has been performed on?
I have a feeling that K&G has used the same tactics, giving units they knew would be tested "special treatment" to get writers/testers to back the product - then selling sham units. I have to say the K&G folks definately lack anything even remotely resembling character if this is the case."

So before rushing into any conclusions (the mistake I made before), we are going to take things slow and steady to figure out what exactly is going on. I am suspecting that the extra ground the DPS provided could have singlehandedly made the difference observed on the dynos along with the smoother revving.

Hey Igor, I had faith in you, just not K&G. Glad to see you owned up to your mistake. I tend to agree with you that the ground wire that came with the box would be the only way you could see any improvement. The 2 cars I tested on already had some electronics improvements. I have a grounding kit and zand02max has a large capacitor for his stereo system.

Now as to whether or not the other DPS box actually provided something useful to the other tester. I don't know, but the way they designed the packaging of this system was obviously meant to decieve IMO.

There is a reason they put metal foil tape and epoxy resin in there and that was so no one could figure out that the box contained nothing useful in it. Plus all of the solder joints within the box looked like they were done by a 3 year old.

If you still feel like calling, I'm home now (went drinking last night)

Best of luck in your opening up of the other box, it's a biaaatch, but keep us informed of what was inside the other box. I doubt it was much different than mine, but I guess it's possible. Either way, you won't see me buying anything from K&G anytime soon.

BTW, do you want this old box back from me? I'm keeping the label as a badge of honor, but I was planning on throwing the rest of it in the trash where it belongs.

Regards,

Jesse

Correct. A patent says "you can;t copy this idea and make money with it". It does NOT protect the secrecy of the technology. All patent must disclose the working of the aparatus and all patents are publicly available.

That is why some companies opt for keeping something a "trade secret" instead of patenting an idea.

It is also true that patents are not judged on whether or not they work. There are patents for invisibility devices on file.

You can post what you found as a review and that will be legal. It will also make you a HERO here.
