no they do not come with the throwout bearing like some jwt clutchs...

the 3 pins you must be reffering to are used to align the clutch with the flywheel before you actual bolt it up to the flywheel...

the three pins fit into like 5 different holes on the flyhwheel...so which holes do they go in?? And do they stay in the flywheel after you install the clutch???

I guess the flywheel is made for the 350z/G35 and also the Altima/Maxima. The three pins fit in the three holes that are closer to the flyhwheel center. You will see when you mock fit the clutch on the flywheel. It's really very straightforward. My JWT clutch flyhweel is in and I love the combo so far.

When I got my JWT Clutch/Flywheel combo, it came with a new throw out bearing, but did not include the alignment tool. We almost didn't replace the throw out bearing until we noticed that the one that the combo came with was significantly wider than the OEM bearing. We didn't know if this would effect anything so we went ahead and replaced it.

So the pins have no real purpose other than to mock fit?

Not exactly...the flywheel doesn't have dowel pins installed in it so you need to use these when you install the clutch. They will stay in the flywheel secured by the clutch plate. They serve the critical purpose to lining up the clutch plate on the flywheel so that the bolt holes line up perfectly. If you didn't use them you'd run the risk of stripping the threads out of the flywheel as it's soft aluminum and the bolts are hard steel.

what was th epart number on the clutch you got?

it could have been the one for the Z32 if you got it a while ago...

the pins are used simply to align the clutch with the flywheel before bolting it in... they stay in place and are held in by the clutch cover...

Just received my clutch and flywheel today. It came with 3 pins, The instructions say to use one pin to line up the flywheel with the crank so that the timing will not be off. The instructions say nothing about the other 2 pins. Soooooo?????

Turn the flywheel over on it's back (non-friction side) you see two small holes between the flyhweel bolt holes. One of them will be filled in with some white stuff. The other will be open. That hole is used to line up the flwheel correctly on the crankshaft. (which you'll easily figure out when the stock flywheel is off the car) It has nothing to do with the 3 larger pins that go on the other side to line up the clutch.

So the one pin that goes in the crank side of the flywheel is a standard pin that is on the crank from the factory. The three pins that come with the JWT kit are the pins that line up the clutch to the flywheel and are left in permenently. Right?

I was getting things set up for my install in the morning and had one last question. I ordered the 8 bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank but what about the clutch to flywheel bolts. Do you re-use the stock ones?

I re-used everything. I've never replaced any non-damaged bolts unless they were head bolts or some other bolts that require very tight tolerances.

I think I'm stuck. I have the Tilton clutch in now, which looks like it uses 6 long bolts with nuts to hold the clutch to the flywheel. The stock clutch looks like it uses about 9 short bolts. Performance gave me back all my old clutch parts but NO bolts, and of course JWT does not supply any bolts. When I ordered my JWT combo from Performance, I told them I needed to replace my tilton and needed everything to do so. I think the clutch bolts were overlooked. And I have an appointment tuesday morning. I would bet that the local dealer won't have them in stock either.
