Level 10 currently has a "core" program for the Valve Body. Not sure if Stillen has one or not. Sure would reduce downtime. If you plan on doing Torque Converter, you will have to send it to Level 10.

I want to do the Level 10 valve body upgrade, but how hard is it to remove the valve body in the first place. Can someone please explain to me how you remove the valve body, because im scared i could damage the tranny.
Thanks Glen

From what I've read about the Level10 VB mod, it shifts pretty hard. Some folks might not like hard, neck-snapping shifts just going to get milk...
Pick the "lesser of two weevils."

I've done the level Ten upgrade on an '04 with ATI-I'll try to answer your questions.
It does not shift that hard-at part throttle and medium throttle shifts the shift IS frim but is not going to "chirp" the tires. The cars not in boost at this point anyway so the fact thats it's F/I I don't think is relevant.
It's VERY easy to pull the valve body;
Drain fluid
Pull pan
Remove bolts on Valve body
Unplug wires
I had it back in less than a week without doing a core.

i've already done the edge racing TC upgrade. which would be a better way to go? level 10 or stillen?
i can spin in 1st and chirp 2nd N/A as it is. but i still dont like the soft fluffy shifts.
we need some pics on how to romove it. would be nice.

I know that Stillen was having some trouble at firts when they went to release there Valve body. So I haven't had any experiance with there's. I have done several of the Level 10's I would say just call Sammy over there and he'll get you set up. I haven't had any complains. Still will not shift fast enough to prevent FI cars from hitting Rev limiter

I would suggest that you visit the Technosquare web site, where you can read about the "drive by wire" in the "Z" that restricts fuel. www.technosquareinc.com You would have to confirm with Technosquare, but apparently while in the "auto mode", by increasing the rev limit, there is time for the shift command to get to the transmission before you hit the rev limit in WOT.

I have talked with SGP and know they have a car with a auto they have done with TT and has a SGP Valve Body on it that shifts it great. They also carry torque converters for the Z. I am looking into them since they are pretty well know for there fast Z's.

I also heard some GOOD things about SGP and have talked to SGP about the VB and TC upgrade. They advised me that they do not do the work in-house. So, where do they send it to have the VB and/or TC upgraded?
