This is something everyone needs to know (at least those individuals who fall within this range).
Yeah definitely. It would fit in nice with rhe repair forums, however, it would get more exposure in the general forums.

My car falls in the VIN range...I checked it a long time ago and thought I didn't fall under the vin range. Weird. Looks like i'll be making an appt with Nissan.

TXSTYLE,

What do you say? You're a Mod. Can you post a "Recall Notice" thread w/link provided by phile under the "General" section & "sticky" it? I agree that the "General" section will get more views but if you feel that it'll be more appropriate under the "Repairs" section, then so be it. Just as long as this information gets circulated.

Thanks!

Hello -

Take your car to a Nissan service center and tell them to hook your car up to Consult II and do an idle air lean relearn. It should cost $60-$80.

It's funny, because I just put on my pop charger 2 days ago and started expriencing this right after I put it on. The next day I was driving it and probably going about 80 and all of the sudden all of my lights in the left pod (brake, low tire pressure, etc.) came on and my tach dropped to zero. I don't think the engine shut down, I can't remember but I'm pretty sure it was still idling. I was in neutral (I had run it up to 80 and was letting it coast to a stop light) and when I put it back into 6th (couldn't match revs because gas pedal wasn't responding) the tach jumped back up and the lights went off. The same thing happened again today. Then later at a totally different time, the airbag light came on and started flashing for no apparent reason. I only hope that when I leave today it's off. I was thinking MAF, but I'm pretty sure I put it back on right and I was careful not to let it touch anything. Any advice on this would be great! Thanks guys!
Fletch

My engine shut off when I was doing 95. Only happened when I was coasting or putting it in neutral. I too have read about this on a JWT thread. Now I just leave it in gear and not in neutral.
