Anyone have an idea of what specifically to look for in regards to this code?
P0442 EVAP Emission Control System Leak (small)
Is there a troubleshooting guide that can pin down specific hoses and what-not to check?

Err, I cant find me dang service manual. I had it in PDF from 3 yrs ago and now I cant find it!!!
Anywho, I didnt see/hear anything out of the ordinary. I heard one hose but took it off and it had no cracks or holes. Car only has 9k miles on it haha.
What is that EVAP service nipple for? Could this have anything to do with it?

So are you saying you have never touched your fuel rail or EVAP lines? Or your fuel pump assembly??
It could be any of these:
-Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve
-Incorrect fuel filler cap used
-Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close.
-Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap.
-Leak is in line between intake manifold and EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve.
-Foreign matter caught in EVAP canister vent control valve.
-EVAP canister or fuel tank leaks
-EVAP purge line (pipe and rubber tube) leaks
-EVAP purge line rubber tube bent
-Blocked or bent rubber tube to EVAP control system pressure sensor
-Loose or disconnected rubber tube
-EVAP canister vent control valve and the circuit
-EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve and the circuit
-Fuel tank temperature sensor
-O-ring of EVAP canister vent control valve is missing or damaged
-EVAP canister is saturated with water
-EVAP control system pressure sensor
-Fuel level sensor and the circuit
-Refueling EVAP vapor cut valve
-ORVR system leaks
I'd check the gas cap, and re-set the code. More common problems in the evap system are the control valves like the canister vent valve, and purge valve. this one can be a hard one to find sometimes.

Wow, thats a scary large amount of vauge problems it could be. I checked the gas cap then disconnected the battery for 30seconds and reconnected. Is this enough to reset it? If so, it came back on regardless.
Do you have a pic of the control valves (canister vent valve and purge valve). Purge valve sounds like what I was describing above. Do I have to purge it or something?
Sorry for all the questions. I just want to avoid brining in my car to the dealer. Ive gone 3 perfect years witout visiting them, and dont want to screw it up now.

Ok, I reset it with the scan tool..........started the car back up and let it sit in the garage running. So far, no problems. Tomorrow (which is the day my warranty expires) I will drive it to work to see if it returns. If not, then Im crossing my fingers it stays GONE!
Thanks for your help
Thanks for your help
Hopefully it was just a fluke thing. If you have the service manual, there is a procedure in there for testing if it returns Otherwise, PM me I can send you the relevant pages (It's kinda long).
