Default Best place to order cusco rs lsd?

Man, ordered one over 2 months ago, haven't heard back from HU racing. I enquired after month 2, but someone there said it was ordered, but can't tell me any info on when it will arrive. Should i just cancel, where is the best place to buy?? The bad thing is i'm working TDY in NM right now for 6 weeks so haven't had time to go looking around. Or where are they located in Japan, i will be in osaka in october, maybe i'll just go to the factory myself.

that's where i got mine

remember that it comes at 100% lockup from the factory so be sure to modify that if you want to when you first install it (long story, lol!)

Good example not why not to buy from HU or IM racing. I have heard more complaints about these guys than anyone else. I am sure some people have had good experiences too, but these two companies are notorious for low ball pricing, but having nothing in stock, with long indefinate wait times on items.

for street i reccomend 60% at 1.5 lock. it comes preset to 100% lock as mentioned above. it come with japanese instructions, but all you need to really look at is the pics and how they set up the disks. i got mine done at street image, eric knows his sh*t. i also got my nismo diff cover installed at the same time, may as well since you need to bring the whole pumpkin down anyways to install it.

i personally run 80% 2-way. but then again i am at drift days and track every month since your in so cal, your welcome to drive my car to see how it drives

Default thanks

sharif, yeah, they had a super low price even with state tax it was lower then most other places. Oh well, when i get back to LA this weekend, i'll try to get it cleared up so i can order it somewhere else.

thanks daytona, i'll set it at 60% once i get it. I almost purchased the kaaz 2 way, but read posts on here that said 2.0 might be a little tricky in certain situations because of lock up on braking.

One more week in NM, getting tired of all this red and green sauce!

Hey mark-

i bought my RS from Adam @ Z1. he has really competitive pricing and good followup customer service.

i had mine installed at TechnoSquare and they changed it to 60% lock. don't forget to buy like 4 bottles or 5 bottles of the Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil (75W90 MOBIL 1 SYNTH. GEAR OIL ) they're at Kragen for like $8/bottle.

when u change it out the first time, you'll use like 2.5 bottles run it for around 200+ miles for break in and change out ... after i changed mine out, feels GREAT! no noise (slight tire scrub when backing out) but thats about it.. really quiet compared to the other lsd.. u read Anthony's review...

Thanks Cheston,

i'll inquire with Adam once i get back from Japan, i'll definitely have TS install it at 60%. But yeah, i didn't want all that noise i heard from the other LSD's. Thanks for the info on Mobil Synth oil, i'll go get some of that when i get back.

Hey Cheston,

are you in El Segundo now? You have to go check out Billy Chen's Veilside widebody 350, he sometimes brings it to his mom's business Rinaldi's sandwiches there on main st. in el segundo. Damn good sandwiches, but awesome looking Z too.

60% 1.5 is where I run mine. Very smooth engagement, and virutally zero noise. I did not notice a huge different in noise/enagement between differnt synthetic fluids, but it did quiet down with synthetic vs dino. I know Cheston runs Mobil 1, I run Motorcraft synthetic now, but ran Castrol and Redline previously, without incident.

I am at 100% lock (Cusco 1.5 way RS), and daily driver... No kind of problems or issues here so to the starter of the thread I say leave it be

100% is great for the higher hp, FI guys. For the NA guys like myself, its gross overkill IMHO
