Default Installed Rouge Short Shifter today

I installed my Rouge short shifter today and fell in love. The shift was so precise and smooth. Install was so easy and was done within an hour. Never had a short shifter before, but will be getting one for all of my cars from now on. Didn't expect it to make that much difference.

I had one problem though and need your help. After screwing back the bolt from the bottom of the car, I could not get the rubber cover that protected the bolt, which held the shaft in place, to go back on. Is there a trick to put that rubber cover back on or should I just remove it

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know how to put back the rubber cover on the bottom of the shifter?

I wouldn't recommend leaving the rubber boot off, it's there to keep materials out (dirt, mud, small rocks, etc.).

Feel around the bottom, you should feel a recessed section where the boot fits into. It's a matter of getting the interior edge of the rubber boot to fit in there. When I did mine thats what ultimately took me the longest time to put back.

go to any car repair shop and ask them for a lift. It's much easier when you have more space.

Any noticeable vibration after the install? This is the only reason why I'm holding back is because I've read many issues with vibration in the past. Seems like they fixed this issue now which is why I'm looking into getting it again. Just wanted to get more feedback. Also, if you don't mind me asking...where did you order yours from? TIA.

I actually have less vibration than the OEM shifter. I haven't heard of problems associated with the Rogue shifters, just the others.

I bought mine straight from Rogue, but you can go to 350Evo.

I got mine from 350evo and I absolutely love it. I have NO noise, vibration, etc. whatsoever. In my opinion, it is the way the stock shifter should be. It is very precise when shifting. It is pretty tight at first but has broken in so well. I would not even consider going back to stock. If you are looking for something noise/rattle free, it is the one you want. I don't know what others have experienced but I have nothing negative to say about it.

I got mine from 350evo. No noise and vibrations. It is actually much better than stock and you will fall in love with the shifting.

I had my Roque shifter for a while (about 8 months). Initially, I did not have any rattle but now, its starting to rattle.

I wonder whats causing it?

Just curious-- how difficult is the Rogue install? Did you guys keep the stock **** or change it out?

Its pretty easy. I think the toughest part is putting the rubber boot back on under the car where the shifter and tranny links
