Now I know why Sharif is always saying sometimes they just look too pretty to put in the engine! Those pics are great!
I think he meant the Eagle I-Beam and the Carillo A-Beam.

This is the first set of "higher" compression pistons I have had Arias make for me. They are 10.0:1 and also the Extreme Duty design. Notice the valve relief machining, and the fine detail on the crown.
Thanks for all your great service with these!

Z350Lover - are you planning on running a custom grind cam, or going with a really aggressive cam? i would love to see 350hp at the ground from a Z NA... good luck man.

also, will you be going to the Z-UTEC or staying with the MOTEC?

He has an S1 cam, if he upgrade i would assume he gets S2. Also since Motec is one of the best EMS out there, there's no reason do downgrade to UTEC. Not that I've anything against it, but they are in different categories. Also UTEC at this time doesn't support VTC.

Thanks nuff, yeah... I have Motec M600 running in my car already and love how it works with the car. As Jarek said, I am running Nismo S1 cams (Int 276, Ex 256) now and if I want to run larger cams in the future (which I doubt very much), I might go for S2 or even custom grind cams...

cheers,

richie

Sorry to bump up an old thread but i noticed the SPS 11.5.1 pistons in your sig. Why did you go with them and how much did they set you back?

SPS is a local piston manufacturer in Melbourne, Australia... in full it is called Special Piston Service... and my tuner gave them all the piston data that we were after, then they made the forged pistons for us according to those specs... I didn't go for Arias or CP (was going to) because my tuner told me that the SPS pistons are really good and they have been using their forged pistons for their custom 350Z TT projects for 2 over years already!

Car is running strong to 8000rpm everyday without any problem so far

cheers,

richie

Thanks for the reply. So what's the least expensive 11.5 piston set @ the stock 95.5 bore?

Maybe a set of Wiseco? I know they are a really good piston for the money, but you might have to request a custom CR.

What is a decent cost of installation for Cams, pistons, and rods?

Thinking about doing it over the winter.

I'm still not sure which 11.5:1 pistons at the stock bore are the best option.

Anyone have any more insight?

I'm looking for a good 11.5:1 forged piston with high silicone content @ .020" overbore. Any suggestions?
