Default Ultrafilter oil filter= 5-6hp???????

Anyone heard of or used Ultrafilter? Just browsing Hopupracing and found this... http://www.hopupracing.com/troilfiing35.html

Sounds too good to be true on the HP gains part but Im liking the filtering aspects if they are true....For $99 if it works as advertised, even without the hp gains, do you think its worth it just for the filtering gains?

i'm not sure about the gains or not, but someone is making a killing off of those things profit-wise if people buyt them.

I mean, I'm sure it might be a better filter, but my take on it is that it has all the elements of a scam. Instilling fear into you saying all the increased oil pressure from performance parts will all the sudden now bursting oil seals everywhere and how this product miraculously saves the day and even adds hp.

You'd think as hard as it is to get NA power, the oil filter would be the last place to look to make power...

Well I dont know about the HP gains or the MPG gains but if it is truly the last filter you ever have to buy, then in the long run it could save you money....especially since it can be transfered to a different vehicle with the purchase of a new housing thing. Plus if it REALLY does filter better then paper filters then maybe it could be better for you engine.....

Are these POSSIBILITES worth $100????? Thats for you to decide.

But if people are willing to chip in for this filter for me to buy, I will dyno test it after the "install" and post dyno sheets to show if there are any true gains

PM me if interested in donating to the cause...

That is only if you wash it. I don't know if you have ever cut open a used oil filter but, I'll pass on washing it. I'd rather spend the extra 4 dollars for a new filter.

I see we are all skeptical...Im not willing to try it lol...But it sounds like 430Z is...Wonder if we could get the company that makes it to put ther money where their mouth is and have one of us independently verify their claims?

When this filter first came out I contacted Hop Up to get more info on it to back up their claims. I NEVER received a response. so I guess I'll stick to my K & N oil filter.

It's BS, and you're not getting any filtering benefits either, There are myriads of comparisons on the web of oil and oil filters. There ARE differences, but none make hp. I'll stick with my Mobil1 oil/filter and waste no more time on it.

only place to get an answer would be on bitog. Lot's of knowledgeable people and it's probable someone heard about these.

I myself doubt the HP claims. I do not see how an oil filter can produce HP or rob HP.
