Dyno Results: 235.6rwhp
Dyno'd my 6-speed 350Z today.
First run - slightly heat soaked engine
229.8 rwhp & 231.0 rwtq
Second run - after letting cool in front of fan
235.6 rwhp & 237.0 rwtq
Car again is a 6-speed, was dyno'd in 5th gear (1:1) on a DynoJet dyno. 1740 miles on the car. Air temp ~53deg. I mixed in 2 gallons of 100octane on approx 6 gal of 92 octane Amoco to help reduce any possibilities of knock, but did not drive a round much to allow computer to compensate for it. I followed break-in procedure till about 450miles, then gradually eased into full throttle runs by 600miles or so, then open season after that...
Second run numbers were about what I expected (though I hoped to be in the 240's).
I'll post a pic of the graph monday when I can scan it in.

The guy at the dyno shop said he typically see's LS1's and others increase their rwhp by 8-10 or so after about 6000-10000 miles. So yes my engine is still a baby, but has a decent amount of miles to get some baseline numbers on. I need about 100lb.ft. more torque to be satisfied....

Hey Doug,
I wish I had know you were at Sunbelt. I was at Balanced on Friday . I would have stopped by to say hello.
How is it coming with the intake mod ? I am really interested in this .

The car was actually down there a couple of weeks ago. They were working on moving the strut bar so we can make the intake plenum taller. Could take a couple of months to get everything done and tested but I will keep everybody updated. Good to here from you.

In fact a friend gained .3 at the track in his famous "Orange Crush" WS6 stock just by driving it a year, no mods!

...I think anything above 235hp is good, especially at such low mileage. Also keep in mind that at different locations, conditions are different. Thus if you are comparing your dyno at a high altitude vs a low altitude, or temperature, or moisture, or type of dyno, etc they are not exact comparisons...
