Japanparts told me that I wouldn't want that ECU as it's only for the JDM cars. That's the only detail I have though.

OH yeah. If there was a decent ECU available now, I'd be whiping out my Credit card.

I'd be right along with you that is why I made this post I don't wanna miss a beat. As soon as an ECU is available with some good buyer feedback I will be getting it!

In that case, buy a stand alone, like the $2000 AEM EMS, and have a tech completely and aggressively remap your engine parameters

The thread on ECU progress should be made into a "sticky."

It seems as if no other performance mod is worthwhile until this thing becomes available.

I'll be watching....

I agree with you Track. I'm assuming we'll just have to wait for Spring to see the real performance mods. I'm anxious but I want reliable and proven performance! I think we all do! I'm hoping my mods work in accordance with future performance mods.

ppw350Z--

Not to get off-topic, but how do you like your grounding kit?

I've noticed a little stumble in the idle at times and figure this thing is the fix.

I'd like to try this.
What do you think?

Scott, if you are looking to get a mod or mod's for the Z the grounding kit is a nice mod. nothing too costly apprx. $80 and it's not difficult to install. I'm sure you already know there is no gain as far as hp or tq is concerned. The engine runs a bit smoother at idle and through the RPM's. This may very well be your fix for your stumble in idle. I'd suggest getting it if you have a few bucks to spare, I would do it again.

ppw350Z--

That is good enough for me.
Cost is certainly not an issue, but rather the trouble I'd have to undertake in order to get one.
I don't do credit card transactions over the web or phone.
Unless I find a place that has them in stock as a retail item, I will be forced to send a money order off with an alias name and then wait for it.
I do not have that much patience.

The grounding kit sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for the feedback.

I will start looking for a quicker/easier way to get one if possible.

Scott, have you tried using Pay Pal yet? That is what I use for almost all internet transactions. As far as finding a kit and getting it sent out in a reasonable amount of time try Insaneamine. I can speak from experience the product shipped quickly and install was a breeze. Here is a link to some good discussion on the grounding kit . https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=11450

Default Scott. Credit Cards are safest.

I can tell you through experience that Credit Cards are the safest method to shop over the web or phone. You can simply call in and dispute almost any transaction. Especially if the vendor does not have your card to swipe. It is almost guaranteed.

Paypal offers you a means of not giving out your card number to the person that gets paid. However Paypal has very weak consumer protection regulations. Basically they do not get involved.

I make sure to use credit cards on the phone and over the web. It truely is the safest and offers the most protection. IE I just purchased a baby seat on the web. It turned out to be a 4 year old model. For obvious reasons I want the latest and greatest. The seller (a store) was being very obstinent even though they did not fully inform me of the facts. I feel they misrepresented the product. They do not. I called my CC company and the charges were reversed and the money was taken away from the seller. I expect a UPS guy to pick upo this POS within a few days.

I don't know what the rules regarding Visa and Mastercard emblazoned ATM cards are. I do not use my ATM card because of this.

Just a thought.
